Anything by Danny Wallace. Yes Man, Friends Like These, Awkward Situations for Men are all brilliant stuff by him!

Anything by Terry Pratchett(The Discworld series and Douglas Adams(The Hitch-hikers guide to the Galaxy, it's a trilogy of five or six). Hope it helped and if you get them enjoy!

Jasper Fford writes really brilliant stories, usually with reference to many literary classics and the near constant stream of humour deducts nothing from the intricate story lines and plots... Definitely the funniest books I've read by a British author :)
