Comment by Geoff W on February 18, 2013 at 6:04pm @Claudia, yes it's true. It does not smell like a mountain. It smells like poutine.
As for jobs in SW Ontario, I have heard that before. I have a few friends in LondON who have told me it's pretty grim, but they have the luxury of being graduate students and not having to worry too much about that for now.
Comment by Alexandria on February 17, 2013 at 9:08pm So does anyone in the SouthWestern Ontario region think it's RIDICULOUSLY IMPOSSIBLE to find a job? I'm starting to freak out a bit because I need to find an apartment, and I need to find a job in order to pay for said apartment. There's literally no jobs that I can find. Does anyone else have the same issue?
Comment by Claudia Longfamilyname on February 17, 2013 at 10:42am I am sort of from Ottawa? :D (right across the river from it - am there often).. but I leave in less than two days.
Comment by Hillary Meaden on February 17, 2013 at 6:25am Are there any Ottawa nerdfighters?

Comment by Claudia Longfamilyname on February 14, 2013 at 5:19pm Montreal is very win for that! I'm looking at apartments elsewhere and I just keep thinking about how expensive they all are!
But Montreal doesn't smell like a mountain. Vancouver does <3 Montreal is also not surrounded by GORGEOUS MOUNTAINS.
Comment by Geoff W on February 14, 2013 at 5:07pm But Vancouver is pretty darn win too.
Comment by Geoff W on February 14, 2013 at 5:06pm Montreal is win. Precisely because it is not very expensive to live in. I mean come on...bagels?
Comment by Claudia Longfamilyname on February 14, 2013 at 1:08pm Vancouver is win. But also very expensive to live in.
