Prayer Requests and PTLs

Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

 

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

 

The title should be self-explanatory.  If you have a prayer request or a "PTL" (Praise the Lord), go ahead and put it here.

This might seem kind of weird, but can you pray for Osama Bin Laden's soul? For his soul and for peace in the Middle East. It's just that he's done a lot of damage and it's too late for him to repent now, but maybe we can help if we pray. Or at least help the people who were already in a bad situation then an even bigger mess after his death.

Is a praise the Lord when we just say what God did that made us really happy, or is it a bit different?

It can be absolutely anything He's done that you want to give thanks for, big or small.

In that case, praise God for keeping me from fear and getting me through AP history.

Can you pray for my sister? She's really stressing about a job right now.

Please be in prayer for my friends Tia and Jesse. They live in Canada and were recently in a car accident. Both of the have been taken in to the ICU and have been stabilized but they still have a while to go. Please pray for their recovery. Thank you.

I've got a big PTL! This summer I've been in Miami for a Summer Project with Campus Crusade, and for these projectsyou need to either pay for it on your own or raise support.  We leave tomorrow, and as of yesterday at this time I still had $1,000 that I needed to figure out how to cover-and I didn't make a full $1,000 from my job here!  But by 1:00 this afternoon, other students that had raised extra had given me some money, and all that I had left to cover on my own was $65!  It's especially a blessing because when I came down my parents said they didn't want me to use my own money to cover it if at all possible!  God is truly amazing-I am in awe of Him right now and can't stop smiling!

I've got a few things. First off, could we pray for our brothers and sisters in radical Islam? This is something that has been on my heart ever since Osama bin Laden's death was announced. Another thing for me would be discernment and guidance in ministry, both in finding places to volunteer at and in ministering to individuals that I know (there's on girl who's dealing with depression that I've been speaking with and sometimes it can be really intimidating since even though I'm pursuing a degree in psychology, I still feel way out of my depth). Lastly, could you pray for protection for with the Enemy trying to tempt me or weigh me down in various ways (I don't feel comfortable going into detail)?

Please pray for all the people who have passed away in these past few years, especially Tania, Kaitlyn, Mr. Hegarty, Jerry, Tim, Father Jim and Esther. Nerdfigters, I trust you to keep these people in your prayers even if I havn't told you a whole lot about them. Also please pray for Caroline and her family and let them realize how lucky they are to have such a wonderful community surrounding them.

Please pray for my friend(I'm choosing not to use his name). He's in a bad place right now. I haven't seen him in person in a little while so I don't know the whole situation. But could, you pray for the Lord to give me the strength to help him and him the strength to realize what he is doing and to help himself.
