Hey everyone! Just joined this group today and thought I'd throw it out that I'm Catholic! I made this discussion for two purposes:
1: For other Catholics in this group to meet and say "Hi."
2: (This is the main purpose) To answer any questions all you other Christians might have about my Faith.
I hope we can keep this nice, clean, and nerdfightastic! DFTBA, and I can't wait for your reply!

Doesn't say much, does it? ^_^ I got my undergraduate degree in History, so the "transcultural studies" is essentially a framework in which I study religious and intellectual history. My main regional subjects are Germany and Japan.
If I may ask, what are you up to?

I'm also releasing chapters of a book I wrote with a friend twice a week on tumblr. Its a fantasy, but if you're interested, the link is here:
That sounds cool about your studies, though! And exciting!
Permalink Reply by Samantha Lynn Hart on February 8, 2013 at 12:05am Hey dude, I am non-denominational christian, but my mom was raised Catholic, (my dad was also raised Jewish, just thought I would put that out there) and I have much respect for Catholics. I like how catholicism is different yet accepted in all parts of the world, such as Irish Catholicism is different than Italian Catholicism that is different than Mexican Catholicism, etc. I have studied alot of the grand awe-inspiring artworks in many cathedrals, and I would kind of like to know what Nerd-fighter Catholics think about such artworks

But you're right, it is neat how so many parts of the world have little traditions when it comes to Catholicism, but we all have the same Faith at the end of the day. That might be what makes us universal.
