@Sara Tideman: What you wear is a matter of attitude, and it is between you and God. It is all about motivation. Of course everyone wants to look nice, and it is not a sin to dress in a way you find pretty or fashionable. But if you are dressing provocatively and trying to get people's attention with your body, you have the wrong focus. If you just like the way skinny jeans look and don't fee like they are revealing, that's fine.

I, personally, love skinny jeans, but not too tight. If I ever felt that they were showing too much shape or that I was wearing them for the wrong reasons, I would stop, but as of now, I think they look nice on most people.

Does that answer your question? My answer is basically that I can't answer it for you, it is a judgement call.

On the subject of gay rights, I am perfectly fine giving them the right to marry as well as other rights with the end goal of removing marriage from the authority of the government.  I fully believe that practicing homosexuality is a sin and that God intended marriage to be between a man and a woman, but that doesn't mean that we have to enforce it that way at the government level.

In fact, I would rather we not enforce it at the government level, because I think that they will do it and have done it wrong, with how they handle divorce being the most obvious example.

@kristina: yes :D i changed my name to a favorite book character (cause my name is rather boring ;) :p) And yes you did make sense. You seem to have put a great deal of thought into replies (much appreciated!!!) and now i think it makes a little bit more sense, and this can apply to more than just the question of supporting gay people's rights. Thanks!!!!!!!

@Aravis? you changed your name haha I was confused for a second. Your welcome. And I believe that it is not up for us to decide. God is the only one who can make the final judgement but I personaly believe that if someone has a relationship with God and are reading the word of God that clearly says that what their doing is wrong, how can they go on commiting that sin? Its the same for everyone, we all have our temptations but as christians we have to take up our cross daily and try with all our hearts and our minds to not give into temptation. Now that is not to say that we wont fail at it sometimes! We are people we make mistakes, but we are also christians which means when we do fall short of the glory of God we have to earnstly ask him for forgiveness and then move forward always striving for God's higher calling. Once again I hope that helps and makes sense! I always feel like I dont make any sense at all haha.

@Kristina, thank you!!! it does clear it up a bit, but what about the person who gives into the temptation? can they still be a christian if they're going against what God intended? I know there are some denominations that have preachers/ministers who are openly gay. Does that make a difference in their relationship with the Lord?
