Greatest of all heroes

So we all know comic books have given us a vast array of awesome heroes, but who is the most awesome hero of all?

Mine is Rorschach from The Watchmen, because he's has no super powers and yet he's still the most feared man of the underworld. Also because he has the most intresting insights of any heroe out there.

You think the greatest, awesomenest most heroic superhero of all time is a gay-hating fascist? I love the character, but he's really not a "heroic" kind of hero. More of an anti-hero really.

If i had to choose 1 superhero that just oozes pure awesome juices 24/7, its gotta be Batman. The caped crusader is just the pinnacle of greatness. No superpowers, and he makes superman crap his pants. You don't get more badass than The Bat-Man

Rorschach is not as badass as people seem to think he is. Good character, but he's extremely tragic and quite out of his mind as far as morals and justice go. Sure, he only hurts the bad guys, but his ideas of what a bad guy would be range so far that practically only children would be spared from his fury if he had the powers to get rid of them all at once. That's why neither he nor Batman can ever be Green Lanterns lol!

I have to say, I'm a big fan of the Goddamn Batman lol! He's just made of awesome! I don't really think he's the best of them all though, just the most determined and stubborn. There are too many, I think, to choose just one who's best because they're all good for different things. I mean, sure, Batman's just a normal extremely resourceful billionaire who's build like a damn tank and he's beaten Superman's ass (with the help of Krytonite rings, of course) on several occasions...but how many times has Superman had to save his ass? Sure, he never wants help, but if it weren't for Superman, Bruce Wayne, along with the entire UN, would have been killed in A Death in the Family. Obviously the awesome is spread about quite nicely...and that's only two people. And that's only DC.

Rorschach was based off of Batman. I don't like Rorshach solely for his actions. I like him because he fought crime without billions of dollers to spend, because he always stood by his values never comprimising even when it ment losing his life, because unlike superman(though definitely one of the most awesome characters ever) he has no super powers to call upon, he fought the endless criminals of New York with nothing more then a grappling hook, a weird mask, and his own intelligence and willpower. crazy or no fighting for what you belive in against everything is always awesome.

Rorschach was based off of Batman

Besides the comedian and Dr. Manhattan, every male character in Watchmen was influenced by Batman

Rorschach- Believe very strongly in justice, and has a black and white moral code, never coming together to form gray (just like his mask- SYMBOLISM!!!!)

The Nite Owl- Incredibly badass, empathetic towards humans, and has lots of sexy gadgets

Ozymandias (damn thats a sexy name to say)- Sexy billionaire playboy, smartest and richest man in the world, and back when he was in costume he never killed anyone.

Yeah I got the symbolism, and Alan Moore specifically said that Rorshach was modeled off of Batman. I think he said that it was mostly to show that only someone who's insane would try to fight crime as a masked vigilante in real life. I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong though.

I agree with bethaninja Superman is fail. but anyways as much as i like Rorschach I would have to say my favorite hero is Captain America because technically he wasn't not a super hero, the super serum just made him the peak of human abilities. Also the Cap is looked up to by so many people including the super hero community; with that being said he had to be doing something right. :P

p.s. it makes me sad to talk to refer to him in the past tense : ( but i also think that bucky is a worthy temporary replacement. (temporary because he will be back)
