Nerdfighters

Personally, I'm a big fan of DC. I don't really follow Marvel comics at all, though I am a big fan of Deadpool and I like most of the older Spiderman stuff, such as the Clone Saga (one of my favorite ret-cons ever lol. Gotta love the Marvel reset button). As far as DC goes, I mostly follow Batman and the like. I do enjoy the Big Blue Boyscout and The Justice League and all, but Batman prettymuch owns my soul.

So, which is your preference, and why?

I would have to go with marvel all the way. to me DC characters aside from a few like batman characters don't have that inner turmoil that alot of characters that marvel have. and I think a lot of DC characters are just incredibly boring like Aquaman FTL. Though i don't want to just completely bash DC because marvel has their dumb characters also. And this Dark Reign is pissing me off... Bullseye impersonating Hawkeye and Osborn donning the ironman and painting it to look like the Cap! Can you say sacrilege?

Both Marvel and DC right now are doing very annoying things >.<' I just don't read the current comics anymore. I figure, if I can stay in the 90's, I can't go wrong lol! I just keep up with current events on Wiki, listen to my boyfriend inform me, or, if I must, read a newer comic and die a little inside...and that's just with current Batman stuff >.<'

I think, actually, my biggest problem with DC has always been that there are just way too many gods. I mean, sure with Marvel, you have several characters who, more or less, can't die. Any good X-men character has something that makes them practically immortal, usually a healing factor. Last I checked, Deadpool can't die at all and the only way to kill Wolverine (and a few other people) would be to drown him. But in DC, frikkin' no one can die, and when they do die, there is a new Crisis that comes out and somehow changes the way time works and brings those people back, probably so they can die in the next Crisis. It's like Marvel's reset button! Clone Saga? What Clone Saga?!

Now I'm just ranting ^^

There's a story arc in Incredible Hercules that shows that every god in all of human mythology is real. Except for Jesus. He didn't show up.

Though Batman is of course my god, and i worship at the church weekly, i prefer marvel for a very simple reason- Batman is (more or less) the only DC comic worth reading. Whereas Marvel has-

Deadpool
X-men (which has more than 10 titles most of which have multiple volumes)
The Punisher
Cable
Cable and Deadpool (greatest comic series ever)
The incredible Hulk
The incredible Herc
Ghostrider
Spiderman

and many many more awesome dudes. Plus DC has superman, which knocks their ranking down many points.

Superman is actually not all that bad. I mean, he is a Big Blue Boyscout, but he's gotten far more bad ass as of late...though I totally agree and I absolutely love Cable and Deadpool ^^. I love X-men as well, but it's such a clusterfuck! I suppose it would have to be because there are so many characters and backstories and all that jazz, but I never followed it much so trying to get into it now makes life mighty difficult. I'm trying to get a hold the Weapon X comics, but they've been out of print since the early 90's so that's going to be fun >.<' I don't really like reading up back stories on Wiki to get my fix, that's annoying.

First of all, Harley Quinn rules so hard. She is my favorite character in the DC universe. Second, I prefer DC, simply because I love Batman and the justice league.I love the villains of the DC universe. The joker, HQ, Poison Ivy, two-face? All of them have such interesting backstories and personalities.

Lol those are all Batman villains...but then again, the DC universe doesn't seem as large as the Marvel Universe...then again DC also allows for a lot more interaction between their different heroes and villains than Marvel typically does. Unless we're talking Avengers, in which everyone is involved all the time...but like, you don't see Spiderman or any of his villains in X-men comics, but you do see Superman in quite a lot of Batman comics and vice versa. They do a lot of things like that a little differently, but Marvel also allows for certain characters *cough*Deadpool*cough* to prettymuch do whatever they want in whomever's comics they choose.

First off, the DC universe isn't as big as the Marvel universe. For instance, this month DC has less than 10 comics coming out, and marvel has about 84 (these numbers are assuming that the Marvel and DC databases are correct... which i think they are).

Also, you said "typically" DC has more interaction between characters. But when Marvel has a crossover, its freaking epic. Like the Onslaught crossover, where about 80% of marvel characters were killed (they got better), or civil war, where Marvel heroes had to fight other Marvel heroes. Or World War Hulk, when the Hulk proved that he is the strongest one there is... by kicking everyone's ass.

You make a good point. And I said DC wasn't as big as Marvel lol! The Marvel Universe is also a rather large clusterfuck because they have so many different characters...which is probably why they don't interact as much as DC, so that makes sense. And I do like that Marvel makes those crossovers so epic, but I still wouldn't mind more casual references or cameos from other characters. It just makes the Universe seem more connected. >.<' maybe I'm crazy.

I know, i was just proving you were right

There are a lot of casual crossovers. For instance in the comic right after something horrible happens to the X-Men, Iron Man or someone usually shows up and is all like "why didn't you call? you have my number". And just last month in Thor #600 the Avengers showed up to make Thor's life marginally more difficult. It happens, and with a decent amount of frequency.

Like I said, maybe I'm crazy.

But I've also said that I keep up more with DC than I do Marvel lol. That would probably explain quite a lot.
