Speaking of knitting/crocheting and nerdfighting(harry potter...), anyone else who is addicted to Leaky's Crafty Witches-page..? I just started with this cute little thing(http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/features/crafts/knitting/harrypotterdoll(picture in the bottom)) yesterday, and i'm hoping to finish in time for chistmas, it would be so funny to give as a present;)

I got totally stuck in all the projects I have on the needles, and I think it's just laziness. I have to get my act together and just add the new skein already. Or at least use the lull in knitting to do some spinning.

Hey, yarn-o-philes. I knit mostly, because I love the feel of bamboo needles. I've never made the same thing twice, although my list is rather short. My last project was a pair of mittens, which taught me how to cable and knit thumbs!
Challenge: Does anyone have a pattern for a knit hammock? I saw one once and I can't find it again. :(

I just started a new project!! I'm knitting Talia from an older Knitty. Yay for getting back to knitting!

eep. Definitely bad idea. Also, The larger the needles, the easier they bend. I carry the 11s & 9s in my bag all the time, but the 15s bent easy. They're too light.

Good lesson you learn... sitting on size 3 aluminium needles is also a bad idea

I learned an important lesson today. If you carry cheap aluminum knitting needles in the same backpack as your laptop & heavy textbooks, they can get bent.

Hey! I love to knit! Although, I have yet to get past the scarf phase. I started four or five years ago and knit off and on whenever I have the time. i think I will have to learn how to crochet soon so I can do bigger projects like blankets and such.

I've been disappointed by Knitty before. Sometimes it happens.
