Fish Fingers and Custard

So, if I made Fish Fingers and Custard, who else wants some? Not just to prove that we're massive Whovians, but who has tried and actually liked Fish Custard. I know I have, but who else?

I have, several times :) It's actually not bad... the vanilla of the custard adds to the fishiness of the fishsticks... and not in a bad way.

You kind of have to be in the mood for it though, and the fishsticks have to be cooked really well.

Matt Smith didn't actually have fish fingers and custard until he went on Graham Norton, it was some sort of biscuit on the show :)

that's actually not true at the premiere in ny he said that he really ate them on set and one of his biggest pet peeves is people pretending to eat things on camera.

i may be wrong but im just going by what i heard him say in person feel free to correct.

i love fish fingers and custard! i recently marathoned all the tom baker episodes, and my mates and i had some :) i made them eat it haha

I acctually really like it the vanilla surprisingly goes with the fishyness so if you're hungery and don't feel like cooking it's a good meal.

I was sponsored to eat as many as possible for my church youth groups fundraising project. I managed to eat 12 fishfingers all with custard :D THe first 4 I could handle, they tasted a little like doughnuts to me. But after that, it was a struggle, they didn't taste as good. I might have the occaisional fishfinger and custard now, but I would limit it to only 1 or 2. Because after a while....it really becomes rather awful.....haha! But then again...that was a whole pack of fishfingers I ate so its no surprise really :D

I CANNOT FIND CUSTARD. The ready made one anyway, apparently my section of the US is custard forsaken. When Let's Kill Hitler came out I just decided to substitute with banana pudding, because bananas are good.

mine wasn't technically custard either, but still good... with a much more even fish to (in my case) pudding ratio than the Doctor.

I sort of liked the first couple, but it definitely started losing its yumminess around the fourth fish stick finger thing... I bet it'd be groovy with custard.

I haven't tried fish fingers and custard before, but I really want to. It sounds delicious. Though I'd have to use vanilla pudding instead, as no grocery stores near me in the USA have custard.

I haven't tried it et but I really want to, do you know how hard it is to find that kind of custard in themiddleofnowhereville Texas. As soon as I find it i will try it!!! I know that Charlie McDonnell from Charlieissocoollike on youtube tried it and he said it wasn't that bad until the third one. Any other Doctor Who inspired recipes would be appriciated.
