How did you start watching Doctor Who?

So how were all of you guys introduced to Doctor Who?

When was the first time you heard of it? When did you start watching? What was your initial reaction? How confused were you at first? :)

Was home sick one day and accidentally caught an episode, Daleks in Manhattan, and then I just kept watching it :3 Found it on the internet some months later and watched everything! :D

I dad first essentially sat me down and told me I had to watch Doctor Who basically from the first episode from the old who and from that moment I've been a Whoian. Even though some of the original Who were a little weird but I'm glad I stuck with it

Well, it was about a year ago. I had started seeing it mentioned more frequently on my various social networks, and particularly from the author Christopher Paolini (Inheritance Cycle), so I thought "I've got to find out what this is." I started with the Ninth Doctor, and my first reaction was probably, "What. Is. Happening?" But I was certainly intrigued, so I kept at it and found myself falling in love. Now I can't imagine not loving or watching it.

well, first i saw "new earth" with my best friend. then, 6 years later i was bored then started watching it and have been watching ever since!
