River Song.. What will happen now? (Spoilers)

I think they are going to find baby Melody and Rory and Amy will raise her (those characters will then leave the show) and then older River will transform into a different person (because she will have been raised differently).

I think that baby Melody won't be raised by her parents, she'll spend most of her childhood searching for them. The Ponds and The Doctor will be looking for her but somehow they won't meet again, like, sometimes they are in the same place at the same time but fate won't let them contact... that is why River is such a "lovely" character..

 

But I might be wrong, who know's what's on Moffats mind...

Am I the only one who liked River from the start? I respected her even more in the 6th series when we find out who she is. I wonder what's going to happen in Part 2 of 6 because we could see her regeneration from a child or something like that!

No you aren't. I absolutely love River, and I'm so excited to see how she acts as a child or even a teenager.

I'm pretty excited about that, but I don't believe she'd be a full-on companion, just a girl we'll see occasionally. And Little River, might be really fun! Big River is going to die, we'll see when the Doctor hands her that sonic screwdriver, so we won't be seeing her after. But, little River might be fun because she's not yet the badass we know now. Also, I don't understand all this negativity towards River Song, I think she's rather lovely.

Yeah! I can't wait to see how they explain how she got in the Astronaut Suit!

Me too! If it is her in the suit, then the Doctor is actually the good man she killed.

Thank goodness it's not just me who never liked Rose :)

But I do have a certain feeling that River will have been the one in tha astonaut suit that killed the Doctor. If you saw the new trailer, then you'll see that River at one point has the same eyepatch as the lady who kept 'looking' at Amy, so maybe a new plot line could be that they're both River, just at different points in her timeline (or different regenerations - who knows). But wouldn't that create a paradox - if Old(er) River touched Baby River- just like it did in series 1 with Rose and Baby Rose??

I do not think that the padge woman is older/regenerated River Song I think that at some point in her life, River/Melody becomes like the padge woman... because of my theory, she hasn't been raised by the Ponds.

But they CAN get rid of her. All they have to do is show the time when they first meet, (and she is old enough to remember him.) Then, they can never meet again, since their time streams are reversed.

No, their timeline are not reversed. We note on several occasions when this is not the case.
