As everyone is attempting to discuss The Waters of Mars and subsequent End of Time trailer in the general comments without giving anything away, as much fun as that is, I figured it would make a great deal of sense to have a place for a proper discussion! So... DISCUSS!

he's gone evil! the doctor's gone evil! i want nice happy smiley funny cute doctor back. i thought it was really interesting at the end when she killed herself, which in my opinion, proved the doctor right. there's not much you can do to change an established event but if you do it generally leaves to chaos.
and the master is back *happy dance*

Wow! I'm sorry that's all I can say right now.

omg. it was fantastic. the doctor went MENTAL. I accually hated him for a moment, cause he wasnt my doctor anymore, he was more like the master. The controller of the universe, not the healer of the universe, like he's ment to be.
but i think her suicide kinda made him a bit more right, i mean he's still mad but he realizes he has limitations... maybe...
i cant wait for the next episode to find out what the doctor will do, or rather, more apropriately, WHO the doctor will be.

Okay i just have a lot to say about this episode and i'm talking fast so forgiveness if there's typos but damn man. Can you believe it, the doctor turned evil. I couldn't believe it. I knew immediately that he was going to go back and saved them after all the voice overs. I thought that he was going to take them to another time. You know make them start there lives over in the past and then that way cause the place blew up they could still be dead in our time you know but know he decided that he truly was the lord of time and took matters into his own hands. I couldn't believe it. I was like no not the doctor he's all evil. Then the girl got scared and she left . I was just wow man that was just an episode that i didn't expect. Then at the end when the ood appeared and he was like is this my death. It made me almost want to cry when he said that. I just couldn't not believe it. I may say more later but i'm just so stunned and shocked about the episode.

On a side not i loved that he had a fresh haircut and "the rooster" was in full effect. Oh and did you guys notice that on the next specials he's back to the brown suit. Back in the suit he started in. I can't wait man.

I thought the last few minutes was really really rushed, and everything was thrown at you. Don't get me wrong, I thougt it was really good, the only bit that shocked me was how he just completely snaps and tries to take on Time. I am super excited for The End of Time though...despite my not wanting the 10th Doctor to die.

I wrote a little in my blog on here about it.

But suffice it to say I loved it. Such an interesting (and once you got into the story, expected) turn of events. Totally understandable. And listening to the commentary helps the story even more cause you get little things that weren't in the episode.

Honestly. David is my Doctor and I'll be sad to see him go. How he portrayed it all was perfect, I couldn't imagine anyone else. I'll be sad to see him go, but I'm terribly excited for the next episode. The Master, Donna, Wilf, everyone. I just hate that we have to wait a month an a half to get it XD.

Wow. I think this whole craziness was foreshadowed with The Runaway Bride and Turn Left where the doctor proves that his vengeful side can take over and that he needs something or someone to stop him. I don't think he's evil... more like resentful against his limits and now unchecked in upholding and breaking them because of the time war. Frankly, he's acting a bit like an angsty teen with overprotective parents who just left for the weekend- he abided by the rules, then realized he wasn't being watched anymore and broke them, then realized that he had gotten out of hand. I really hope Donna can sort him out again at Xmas in time for matt smith to take over and be that happy, smily doctor we know and love. I'm definitely going to cry when David leaves, though. He is 100% my doctor.

Also did anyone notice the subtle inclusion of "Molto bene" when he's thinking in section f, before he finds gadget?

"Frankly, he's acting a bit like an angsty teen with overprotective parents who just left for the weekend". That is probably the best description of it I have every heard! XD

And I think he was put back in check when Captain Adelaide kills herself, but I do hope that he will be sorted out soon. Not having a companion doesn't seem to be working out very well for him.

Did anybody else catch that the Mars base was called "Bowie Base One," as in David Bowie, as in Life on Mars? This made me laugh. Even though I shouldn't have.
