Nerdfighters

I started watching Doctor Who at the beginning of this new season. For that reason, I think my Doctor will always be Matt Smith. I will go back and watch the seasons before this one, and David Tennate and Christopher Eccleston will be Doctors to me too, but in the future Matt Smith will always be the one who I think of when I hear "Doctor".
I bring this up because whenever I try to watch an episode my dad says that it is awful because the Doctor doesn't wear his scarf any more. I tell him that there are 11 Doctors and that the 4th one IS NOT the original, but he just ignores me.

Do you have a special Doctor? Does it depend on when you first started watching Doctor Who?

its funny, ive watched all the new seasons of Doctor Who, starting with Chris Eccleston, and each Doctor has replaced the previous one in my heart, every time. When David Tennant came, he replaced Chris as "The Doctor" in my head, and now the Matt Smith is the new Doctor he has replaced David Tennant as My Doctor. they're all fabulous though, they do a great job, all of them :)
Matt Smith is mine. I really love Tennant as well and think he had some truly incredible episodes, but Smith is so much quirkier and I became a Whovian during his era.

I started with David Tennant and at first I really, truly, utterly missed him.. more than words can say ^^ And when I saw Matt Smith for the very first time it was kind of like raising one eyebrow and thinking "Really??"
But now I have to say that Matt Smith has become my favourite Doctor... but he shares the title with David Tennant.

Matt Smith himself, he IS The Doctor. I mean, he's intrigued by badgers, otters, and llamas.. That's so Doctor-y.

By now, I totally adore Matt Smith's impersonation of The Doctor and I even got more addicted to DW ^_

I started out by watching the Eleventh Doctor, but I soon sped through seasons five and part 1 of six, so I went back to the beginning of the series. I was never quite so taken with Eccleston's portrayal of the Doctor, so the introduction of the Tenth Doctor seemed like a blast of fresh air.

So yeah. In the end I have to go with Ten, and it's not just because of my slight obsession with David Tennant's hair, although that's probably part of it, hahaha. I love Eleven, and he has me convinced that he's really the Doctor with his lovely, eccentric personality, his hinted loneliness, and with his liking of the human race. But he seems to me to have this air of invincibility around him, whereas Ten, while definitely immeasurably more capable than the average life form, actually seemed to have real weaknesses, however difficult they may of been to penetrate. In the end, I feel that it's this slight vulnerability that has me a bit more attached to the Tenth Doctor than to the Eleventh.

i like all three incarnations, but ten remains my favorite and now you have me wondering if i'm not just being prejudiced
My special Doctor I guess is Patrick Troughton, or Sylvester Mccoy; one of those two is the first doctor i ever watched, but Patrick Troughton's definitely my favourite.
My first Doctor was Eccleston but I consider David Tennant my doctor.  Tennant was delightfully crazy but could kill you with a stare and he had a feeling of confidence even when he had no plan.  So even though Eccleston will always be my first doctor Tennant is my favorite doctor.
My Doctor is Matt Smith! I watched every episode with him, and most of the episodes with David Tennate. Matt is just so awesome and funny, and bow ties are cool :D
I started to watch at season five. As such, Matt Smith will always be my doctor. He introduced me to everything. Not to mention that I sincerely love everything he does.
My doctor will always be David Tennant because he is the one that I watched growing up and i think he is really funny but Matt Smith is coming close behind and i'm sure i will like him more but he can't take the place of David Tennant.
