Yeah, I just meant it's evolved so much over the years that creative license is definitely not frowned upon!

Well, that is true, if you believe the 1965 movie based on the TV show which came out in 1963. But that is different canon; I would consider the TV show more correct, but that is just my opinion. (Great name, btw, Sarah Jane)

Well according to the ORIGINAL Doctor Who, the Doctor was a human with two granddaughters who just happened to have built a time machine, so I wouldn't worry too much about the writers feeling a need to stick to twelve regenerations. :D Really glad I found you guys. I--obviously--love Doctor Who!

Apparently, at least according to one of the episodes back in 70's, time lords only have 12 re-generations before they die. But i don't think with the series as successful as it is they with actually go with that.
