I've started to have the same problem. Sometimes I go "Ack. An American accent? Why is it American?" Haha. Silly brain.

This is a brilliant group :-D
I'd like to spend some time in England so I could maybe pick up a convincing British accident.

My mom is British therefore I have a bit of a british twang which for some reason was a really good reason for kids to pick on my in primary school and a(all be it a lame one)reason I had so many fiends in high school. They always wanted to come to my house to listen to my mom. Kids are weird that way.

i went to a british school from form1(6th grade)- form4(9th grade) and i have had a slight british twang ever since (although i am at times insulted for not being recognized as an american- i do enjoy impressing peeps with my accent), and have lived in two countries that were part of the Empire (India and the United Arab Emirates),

I always end up talking in a British accent whenever I watch a British show.

And I have a friend that will talk British with me. We've both randomly done it since we were kids. And we're pretty bloody brilliant at it, If I do say so myself. I'm sure we'd fit in rather well.

the camp i go to has a lot of people from britain too! and a lot of other places, like ukraine, isreal, south africa, northern ireland, australia, and new zealand. so by the end of the week, my accent is all crazy. but britain is still my favourite!
