About Fringe

1. What's the show about?

It's about the investigation of a strange series of events that seem like they wouldn't be able to be explained, at least by normal means. Olivia Dunham, the one investigating the events, is brought into the case when a plane is found with no survivors and everyone is melted. Her partner in the case, John Scott, manages to catch the same thing the victims in the plane had, and the only person who can save him is the scientist named Walter Bishop. Walter, having been institutionalized for the past 17 years, can only be allowed to see direct family. His son, Peter Bishop, is the only living family member that can get her in to ask help from Walter on how to maybe save her partner, as well as solve the mystery of how the event happened. (The show's really a lot better than I explained it. I promise.)

2. What is Fringe Science?

Fringe science is the study of unusual theories or ideas that are set far apart from typical scientific ideas. Such as cloning, animal or human hybrids, or psychokinesis. (Plate Tectonics used to be considered Fringe science.)

No one has commented here for over a year!!

How can such an awesome and complicated show like Fringe not have more Nerdfighter followers?

Seriously! It's season 4, and the loose ends from season one are coming into play!

Peter was acting super freaky last episode. I hope he does not get himself killed.

Thought I'd give this comment wall some re-vitalization. Anyone else here terrified for next week's episode out of fear for Peter's life?

So. Excited. For. Season. Three.

Seriously, I love this show. It's so intense and mind bending. The characters are brilliantly written (Oh, Walter. What would we do without your food obsessions? How could there be an Olivia who doesn't enjoy her glass of alcohol? And Peter and his wisecracks/habit of kicking down doors. Fringe just wouldn't be the same.

This is the best Sci-Fi show I've EVER seen! I mean it has the right combo of adictivity and science to where it just screams 'AWESOME!' I think we can all agree that Walter belongs with the Nerdfighters. His humor and way of thinking is so hilarious , I mean he wants to eat pretzels when someone is being mind tortured. I really hope that I'm like him in my old age.

Awesome! It looks like Walter's secrets will start being revealed, at least in part, as Astrid finds out why Walter can't let Peter die AGAIN. If you missed the season 1 finale go watch it and you'll realize what happened.
