Game Of Thrones

A group for everyone who likes A Song Of Ice And Fire :D

Please keep the conversations on the comment wall more general and spoiler free, so that those who have not (yet) read the books can be a part of the group as well.

There're separate discussions for each of the books, and if you'd like to talk about something more specific, just add a new one.

For me personally it's always been a tie between Jaime Lannister and Tyrion. Don't get me wrong Jon Snow is handsome and lovable and Dany is a BAMF but for me the Lannister brothers were always the…Continue

I think it can. As long as we collectively make sure to post in the appropriate discussion threads.

I think we should make this clear? Is this a group unsafe for the show watchers? Because I am a book reader so I know all that has happened through A Dance with Dragons but I think some people may come across this as viewers and have things spoiled for them. I just think (to be fair to them) in the group information there should be a disclaimer stating that this is a spoiler filled zone and only fully safe for those who have read through the events of ADWD since there seems to be no spoiler control ability in the comments/ discussion section. Just my personal opinion.

This is a day I feel sorry for all the non-book readers who just watch the show...dear sweet summer children, this is what we mean by "Winter is Coming."  To be honest, I wasn't fully prepared for the sequence either.

I've gotten about a half dozen people to buy all the books since season 2 hit the airwaves...tempted to dissect differences and break it down a bit in a short series...worth it or too many random review shows out there already?  (note: my time is primarily divided between studying film and books xD)

Definitely start with book one.

Well, I'm a firm believer in reading ALL THE WORDS, so I say read books one and two before jumping to three.  There are some extra scenes and details that the show leaves out, plus you get a lot insight into what individual characters think and what motivates them.  The show can't do inner monologues like George R.R. Martin does it.  Plus, his writing is beautiful.

Now I finished both season and I want to start reading the books. Should I start with book 1 or could I continue and start reading book 3?
