Book-Presentation of "The Fault in our Stars" in Germany (11th-14th of September)

Just as last time in 2009, John Green will be presenting his new book, this time "the fault in our stars", at the international literature festival in Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Munich.

I know that because my teacher contacted me about this matter and sent me the newsletter, saying so. (I'll attach it in this post).

So yes, the festival will start on the 4th September and end on the 16th. In between that time, John Green will have his book-presentation.

I for myself look quite forward to this and I'm pretty sure some of you are too.

Ok, Berlin Nerdfighters, John will read on September 11th at 9:00, 12:00 and 19:30.

I think it would be practical to have a meeting somewhere between these times (afternoonish?) so everyone can go to the meeting that suits him/her best.

What do you think? Where or when will we meet?

Well, since I just took the whole day off, I can make any or all of the readings (Attend ALL THE READINGS!). I might actually do that, but I'm weird like that. ;p

That tactic also might offer more opportunities to possibly talk to The Man Himself. And the 19:30 reading will probably be really full, so if there is a signing opportunity afterwards, the line is gonna be HUGE and John will be tired and desperate to get to his hotel room... I'd rather get my TFioS (and some other stuff) signed at an earlier reading.

The biggest gap for a Berlin-Nerdfighter-Meeting is between 12:00 and 19:30. Let´s say the lecture itself takes an hour + standing in line + signing and stuff lets say 2,5 hours. So everyone who went to the lecture at 12:00 should be done by 14:30. Meeting at 15:00?

Does somebody know the place and the quarter where the lecture takes place? Is there any good possibility to meet around? What do you think, how many people are we gonna be? Any ideas?

3-ish in the afternoon sounds good to me. Since I come to Berlin just for the reading, I have the whole time to spare... But since I'm not from Berlin, I have no idea what the place is surrounded with... A Berlianian will probably have to pre-check the location and report back here :)

 

hmm... I go to the ones in Berlin and Hamburg and possibly Munich, due to the project and all... Is it weird, to attend more than one reading in Berlin, then? And at the end, I can actually talk simultanously with what he's saying? hmmmmmm.......

Yes, there are good possibilities to meet. It depends on the weather, but from the place where the reading is we could go to a park or just sit around at a café etc. So that shouldn't be a problem at all (:

No idea how many nerdfighters we'll be. We just have to see, because I think there will be nerdfighters, too, how don't use the ning or your pants.

I think 3-ish will be fine. Also we'll have some time for the Secret Nerdfighter Project and we can hang around, get something to eat... Yeah, I think we'll have some fun (:

Since John signed all 150.000 books of the first edition, we all wanna make him a book with 150.000 signatures of all of Nerdfighteria and people who loved the book, and give it to him on the first anniversary of tfios. We figured, that on the day, John actually comes to Germany and reads and talks about tfios, a lot of people would be there, who would like to join in and sign. Best way of action, to join, would be to sign your name on the spreadsheat and join the forum. The spreadsheat gives us a good aproximation on how many people we've gathered so far, and the forum gives you the oportunity to activly participate. Unless, you just wanna sign, that would be fine, too :)
