Just as last time in 2009, John Green will be presenting his new book, this time "the fault in our stars", at the international literature festival in Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Munich.
I know that because my teacher contacted me about this matter and sent me the newsletter, saying so. (I'll attach it in this post).
So yes, the festival will start on the 4th September and end on the 16th. In between that time, John Green will have his book-presentation.
I for myself look quite forward to this and I'm pretty sure some of you are too.
Well, 'till then DFTBA!
EDIT:
The final dates are: Sep 11th in Berlin, 12th in Hamburg, 13th in Frankfurt and 14th in Munich

Permalink Reply by Mealla McAllister on June 9, 2012 at 4:25am I was very happy when I heard about the announcement!
I am trying to go to Berlin, does anyone have more information on the tickets? I got an e-mail back that said only booking for school classes is open right now, for individuals it will open in about two weeks on the webpage.
Permalink Reply by gelingeling on June 9, 2012 at 8:29am Well, then you have all the information there is. The tickets aren't on sale yet. If I'm right they won't be for a couple of weeks, which really annoys me, because I'm scared that they'll be sold out quite quickly :/
Just a short update on the ticket-front. The one's for Hamburg and Munich are for sell now! Well, when I understood it right, you can only reserve places in Munich and then pay there, but same difference. Frankfurt starts selling tickets some time in August and Berlin doesn't say anything yet. Not a "private people are able to buy tickets from [insert date here] on", nor anything else. Just a "we're not saying anything" front. Or I just can't find it. Is just as plausible...
Permalink Reply by Mealla McAllister on June 14, 2012 at 8:43am Last time I asked them (9.6.), they told me that they expect it to start in two weeks. I look on the webpage daily to be sure I don't miss it. :)
oh sweet! Please tell us, when they finally sell them. My life is crazy right now, and I'd hate to miss it, just because I saw, that tickets are available, too late and they're sold out...
Permalink Reply by Mareike Wilhelm on June 20, 2012 at 1:15pm Oh my god this is amazing! At least it would be amazing because my mum could stand in the way :( I'll either go to Berlin or Hamburg. Maybe Frankfurt. It all depends on my parents and school and stuff. Maybe I'll just buy a ticket to each one of those readings :D (By the way, is there even someone not-German here?)
I don't know about this topic, but there are a handful of non-Germans in the Group itself. Exchange students, poeple who live here for a year or so for another reason, one who would just like to better his German, so s/he talks to Germans and so on. Why?
Permalink Reply by Mareike Wilhelm on June 21, 2012 at 6:47am Just interested :)
haha, well then: Glad to be of service... or something...
Permalink Reply by Lisa Stockhofe on June 25, 2012 at 6:42am Hey everyone. I will definetely attend this. And I'd be so happy to meet up with you before hand. I've never ever been to a nerdfighter gathering and didn't even realise there might be German nerdfighters as well so whoopwhoop, very happily surprised.
As I'm living in Berlin I could host some people as long if it's cool with you not to be in the total hip area, 30 mins from the center. Really looking forward to this. I just finished reading teh Fault in our Stars this morning, read it in one go and I think I've never cried that much while reading a book, seriously.
I can't go :-(
I start at a new school in September and the new 5th graders, who I will tech one or two classes (from three) in math, start their excursion to get to know each other just at the 12th, when I wanted to attend in Hamburg.
It was a difficult decision but I said yes to go with my classes, so they get to know me better and I them.
And Berlin isn't an option. So I'll have to wait to the next time John is here.
Permalink Reply by gelingeling on June 27, 2012 at 2:51am Oh now! It would have been so great to see you again ): That's really sad.
Why isn't Berlin an option?
