Nerdfighters

Hey everybody! There were no discussions going on and that made me a bit sad...So I had to start one up!

So nerdfighters, when you read Harry Potter and got a look at all the houses, what made you identify with Gryffindor?

What Gryffindor qualities do you think you have, and what are some of the qualities of other houses that you think just make you a more wonderfully layered and complex human being?

I'm really excited to see what everyone has to say!
DFTBA!

i value bravery over everything
i wouldn't stop and think before saving someone
i would protect my friends before myself
sometimes i don't think things through (like how harry goes to try and rescue sirius in the fifth book... i would do that. even if i knew it could be a trap.)
i dislike inequality... strongly.
instead of being rational, and ignoring a bully, i would duel them. For sure.
and this isn't a gryffindor quality, but a lot of them seem to have, quoting Lupin, a talent for trouble. I have that. :P

i have no ravenclaw qualities. lol. in fact, i doubt i would even be able to get into their common room.
hufflepuff qualities? um... i'm friendly? does that count?
slytherin qualities? ... no idea, i probably have some that I can't think of at the moment.

DFTBA!!
I always equated Gryffindor with - hold on it's getting nerdier - the Chaotic Good alignment. Like "Yeah we're gonna save the world...You think we can't party and raise hell at the same time?"
I think that the talent for trouble should really be an official Gryffindor trait.

I think everyone's got a little Slytherin in them - there's no perfectly good person.
And I think the Ravenclaws are the nerdfighters of the Harry Potter world. (Although there are nerdfighters in every house - Like Lupin. Total nerdfighter)
Hufflepuff...I never really understood what their qualities were, seems like they're just supposed to be really nice.
Well...'This is a trap' - 'What are we gonna do?' - 'Activate the trap.' Not from HP though...couldn't resist.

It means to be totally awesome :)

And what they said ^ :)

courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to face your fears and overcome

that is what it means, to fight your fears and help others to do so as well

(also raising hell isnt out of the question)

COURAGE: The Ability to overcome your fears.

BRAVERY: The Ability to stay strog through suffering. Like the Longbottoms did.

That's what makes up a Gryffindor.

being a gryffindor means being yourself. being brave. bold. and sticking up for people. it means being a good person and doing what is right even though it is hard to do some times.
