Where would you rank yourself on the Kinsey Scale?

For those who don't know what that is, I'll just give you the cliff notes version.

0 is completely straight, 3 is completely bisexual, and 6 is completely gay.

The scale is 0 1 2 3 4 5 6.

Rate yourself accordingly.

I'd give myself a 6.

Wasn't there a movie about that? With a professor that invents that scale and then cheats on his wife with his (male) apprentice?

Anyways I have no idea. How are you supposed to know? Is there a way to rate yourself? A series of questions to answer? A test?

You rate yourself, 0 being completely straight and 6 being completely gay. You go based on your emotions, phsyical attraction and so forth.

Well, I have two answers, because my sexual preference and romantic preference are different.

Sexually, I'm a 3. Romantically, though, I'm more of a 1.5ish, I'd say. I've taken the test before but can't for the life of me remember my results, so I'm estimating here.

There isn't technically an official test--the scale is really for someone to self-evaluate their own sexuality--but effective tests have been made to help people along who might be questioning or just unsure. They'll generally ask questions involving whether you've had/desired certain experiences with either sex and so forth, whether or not you enjoyed it if you did experience it, etc.

Not all Kinsey tests you'll find are very accurate, either. I took a rather useless one once and it told me I was closer to lesbian than bi, which I knew right off was completely wrong. So if you do take a test/quiz, make sure it doesn't look like utter BS before wasting your time with it, and once you find your results, ask yourself how accurate it seems.
