Awesome, a group like this is so amazing. I really could write a school newspaper article about GSA, but I don't know how the kids at my school would take it... or if any of the kids would actually come to a meeting...?

don't worry. we know you meant different from the "accepted societal norm" and not different meaning weird or bad. all is well.

But please don't think I ment something bad by saying different because I don't.

There was a group such as this at my school but I wasn't able to join because some idiotic kids were goofing around at the stand. Im glad I at least joind this one though. Im straight & was raised to think homosexuality is wrong but I support anyone who is different & can accept that.

Thanks so much, Michelle! I just posted Part 2 (the one that appeared on,,, etc) here on the ning. Hope everyone enjoys it. It's amazing how many people don't get that this is satire... :-)

Travis, I saw that on YouTube, it's really good!

And Hannah, today was October 14... Do you have a story to share...?

Hey, gang, I just posted a video on the Ning (part 1 of 2), and it's going viral out in the rest of the world. It's a PSA about a new proposed bill that would ban divorce in california. The video is a satire on the "family values" argument used to ban same-sex marriage in California last year. Check it out and please share it with your friends if you like it!

At my university (in which, I believe, 25% of the students self-identify as LGBT), they're doing some events for Coming Out Day, which is actually October 11, I believe... let me see, I took a picture of the sign. On the day before (October 10) there's a dance, and on the day (October 11) during the day there's an organized coming out (where they set up a closet door and if you want to come out, you step through) and at night there's a showing of Milk and writing of legislators for LGBT rights. I can't wait. ^^
