Simple question: Who is your favorite Dumbledore, Richard Harris (God rest his soul) or Michael Gambon?
I know there are people on both sides of the fence...

On a side note, when I read the books, I hear Harris' voice in my head when Dumbledore is placid and eccentric, and Gambon's voice when he is threatening. Has anyone else felt similar effects?

Richard Harris is a BAMF, I loved him like I love coconut cake. He was the epic embodiment of Dumbledore and that can never be replaced, but to his credit Gambon's choices to show the crazy in Dumbledore were admirable and true to character. Though yes he was a bit more frustrated than I would have liked in other movies I did like what he did in the latest installment. Tell me, What does everybody else think of him in the HBP?

I thought he did well in HBP. He was a lot better in this one I say. For the record: Harris is a BAMF!

I also thought he was enjoyable in HBP. And there's nothing like some vintage Harris, it's been to long since the last time I watched Camelot :)

I never liked Micheal Gambon much (he ruined most of GOF for me), but in HBP I feel like he redeemed himself. Although I will always prefer Richard Harris as Dumbledore, my dislike for Gambon has lessened considerably.

Aye! I could not have said it better myself.

GAMBON! he is just how i imagined dumbledore.
harris' performance was very weak and he seemed too elderly gambon portrays scenes like the fight with voldemort in order of the pheonix very well, and if Harris were to attempt it, i fear he may have broken something.
Gambon may come across mean, but i think he should be a little bit intimidating, afterall he is the only wizard Voldy is scared of.
ohwell, RIP Richard Harris

Richard Harris is the type of Dumbledore I pictured when I read the books. He could pierce you with his eyes without looking mean, had the right temperament and had an air about him that just made you believe that he was Dumbledore. He was all around perfect <3

But I will say that Gambon did quite a better job this time around

I would have to say Gambon was amazing in Half Blood Prince, I cried like a little bitch when he was drinking that wicked potion of not so nice stuff. That was brutally good acting.
