is the movie better then the book?

Unless the movie has nothing to do with the book except the title and the book happens to suck.

I agree with everyone here. There's no comparison. The book is way better...
1. because it's the book.
2. because David Yates made it nothing like the book so the movie sucked (at least that's my personal opinion)
3. because when you read the book you have your own perception of what things look like, how things are said, it's your own movie and when you watch a movie that someone else made it's like watching THEIR perception of things and it's not the same.
That's why I think the book is better.
Plus, it's got the little small scenes that the movie has to cut out. Whether the scenes be funny, sad, or fill you with anger... you're never going to get that from a movie.

As a typical rule (there could be a few exceptions), movies are not better than the books......ever.

The first time I say the 6th movie, I was SOOO disapointed that they left out/changed all the good jokes. HBP has some of the best jokes in it, go read it again if you can't remember. So, after the movie, I was like, it was better than the other movies, because it had mos of the plot, then I realized that i shouldn't be so nice to it, since they could have done way better. I'll be waiting for the remake in 20 years.
