Comment by Jennie Rae Urban on December 19, 2011 at 9:22am @Emma, I don't remember how old I was, but my first memory of Harry Potter was my older sister reading the first book when we were camping. I wasn't all that interested, but I wanted to prove to her that I WAS old enough to read it. But she kept on pulling out the biggest words she could find to convince me that it was too hard. (Silly older sister syndrome...) And then when the fourth book came out, my parents bought it for me for Christmas and that was that - I was hooked.
Here's another question: How do people feel about the audio books? Jim Dale or Stephen Fry? Personally, I've never listened to the Stephen Fry ones, only having access to the American ones, but I've listened to them so many times that I now read the entire books in Jim Dale's voice. I love it. I used to listen to them over and over while cleaning my room or knitting and stuff.
Comment by Danno on December 18, 2011 at 8:34pm not really Emma. to be honest, i wasn't all that interested when the first couple books came out...my younger brother and some of my cousins were though. i did get quite hooked through the first two movies though, and having friends by the end of highschool and into college who were huge fans helped.

Comment by Emma Weir on December 18, 2011 at 3:53pm When I'm not in the middle of rereading the Harry Potter books and someone asks me what my favourite book is, I usually say GOF but then go 'oh but I love OOTP...'
but every time I read HBP I'm like I LOVE THIS BOOK :D
so essentially I hate this question cause I can't decide!!!
Does everyone remember where they were the first time they heard of Harry Potter? Ah those innocent times...
Comment by Jennie Rae Urban on December 18, 2011 at 6:20am There's already a Doctor Who wall at my university...maybe I'll start a Harry Potter one!
