I came home from the DH release party with a Death Eater mark on my forearm. My mom wasn't too amused. :)

I'm hosting a Harry Potter party for when the 6th movie comes out...which on the face of it, isn't that nerdy.\
But... I have been planning it since July last year, I postponed my birthday (which was in decemeber) so this could double as my birthday, I knitted 11 owls to attach to the 2 page invites and throw at people as my for of delivery.

I'm also making myself robes for my tonks costume.

Yeah... I'm kinda obsessed

The nerdiest thing I've done...well it's hard to choose really!

I had a lightning bolt on my forehead for a week (I wrote it with a sharpie and my forehead was a bit greasy by the time my parents forced me to wash it off). It was fun though, after DH came out I had a sharpie version of the Deathl Hallows symbol on my forearm, and one on my ankle, and one on my forehead.... Surprisingly enough,I don't even want a tatoo.

Uhm... Nerdy things. One just the other day actually. I was called a Harry Potter nerd for pointing out exactly how many days until the morning, at which point I proudly declared "Yes I am, and proud of it!"

The first place that I actually heard of the whole franchise was while I was attending a very religous private school in Birmingham AL. (not far from where John Green went to school, so cool!) where they greatly punished for having any sort of Harry Potter memorbelia (lunchbox, stickers etc.)I first started reading the books the night that the second movie came out. I was eight and my family and I just got back from the movie theater and I had to know what happened next, and my mom, being the very wise person that she is, had bought all of the Harry Potter books think that me or my sister would read them at some point. I proceeded in reading the third one and then the fourth and then waiting for the fifth one to come out and then I went back and read the first two. That's how I came to Harry Potter and I've never looked back!

I also fangirl-squealed at the new HBP trailer! I was at my boyfriend's and we were watching them on Youtube. He doesn't like HP, though, and doesn't know anything about it so every time I was like, "OMG". he'd be like, "Uhh...what? I don't get it." I did give me a chance to talk about it, which I thoroughly enjoy.

Um, I fangirl-squealed at the new HBP trailer the other day.

Mostly I just explain the movies to my dad -- he's the only one in my family who ever asks questions. The funny thing is, he's read all the books. I couldn't get them off my bookshelf for him fast enough! Once he just came into my room and TOOK the book. And yet he still can't remember the details lol.

I didn't start reading the series until after the second movie came out. By then Order of the Phoenix was out, so I didn't have too much of a waiting period for the end.

Although, funny thing -- when Deathly Hallows came out, we had it pre-ordered and therefore mailed to our house, and the key to our mailbox broke! It was in the mailbox across the street for like FOUR DAYS. I was ravenous.

I mainly just have a talent of connecting almost anything to Harry Potter.

The other day, I was talking to a friend about a famous prison... "Y'know... the one in San Francisco Bay? Azkaban?" She just gave me a look, and I realized... "Oh... um... I mean Alcatraz... my bad."
