I, personally, don't see 5 as one of my favorites, and I think I know why. I find myself a few years younger than the average nerdfighter (I am fifteen), so that means when book 5 was released, I was nine, and that was the first book I got as soon as it came out. (Amazon delivery that year.) And because it was long awaited, I got my hopes up too much and found the book very "dark". Again, I was nine, and in book five, things get a little more heavy. At least in my view.
Things would probably be extremely different if I were to read them all for the first time now.

Strangely enough, COS was the first HP book I read. Followed by 4 and then 1 and then 3. 3 was my favourite back then but then more books came out and now I'm torn between 5 and 7. 5 is amazing but it's so rare to find people who think it is their favourite out of the series!

COS was, and remains to be, my favorite book.
I don't know what it is, but there is just something about that year and the way it was written.
Maybe it's the flying car.

I've been re-reading since first grade too. My favorite that year was COS....it eventually fell apart in my hands!

Haha, but they might use that in the books... at the Dursley's house? I don't recall any vacuuming, but it is possible. ;)

OOH, that sounds really fun!
I am only in Spanish I at my school so I would be so lost.
I do know "pasar la aspiradora", but I don't remember any vacuuming at Hogwarts...

I've started re-reading the series, yet again. The only difference is that this time, I'm reading them in Spanish. :)
