So, I've just finished Mockingjay.  I'm not really sure what I think.I read it very quickly, in just a few hours.  I'm going to take some time to sort my head out on the matter, and then read it…Continue

Guys, this isn't Twilight. Let's not make it become so. 23 Replies

What I mean by that is the worrying amount of 'Team Peeta' and 'Team Gale' stuff I've seen around the interwebz lately. It bares a concerning resemblance to the 'Team Edward' and 'Team Jacob' thing…Continue

I loved the movie! Of course movies can never be as good as the books, but I think they did well!

@jennifer yeah I see why they did it and I'm glad they made it pg13 because I wouldnt be able to see it if it were rated r. I just wonder where the line is because it didn't seem to have a lot of gore you know?

@chelci: agree the more blood thing but if it had more the movie probably wouldn't have been pg13. but then again, the next two books have a lot more deaths and bloody battles so maybe the producers will get more in. i saw it twice and both were amazing :) 8.99

I'd rate the movie a 9 because I loved it but I've only seen it once and that was at midnight so my judgement might be a little crappy. I loved it and I loved the shakiness but I wish we would have seen a bit more blood because it's supposed to be this really barbaric, bloody thing and even at the blood bath in the beginning it didn't seem to get that across.

So what were your thoughts on the movie? Good adaption? 1-10 (10 being epicocity, 1 being the fail, percy jackson movie...)

so, between the movie release and my having read the books, my brother decided to buy them the other day.  he blitzed through the first in 20 odd hours, and is most of the way through Catching Fire tonight.

I thought the film actually did justice to the book, which is rare. I REALLY enjoyed it- the muttations made me jump though and I think they could've done the killings better too. But overall I liked it :)
