@ Laura: I know, me too. I know it seems silly to some, but I really admire him for doing that. I honestly don't think I could. (Also, Willy is awesome!)

@ Clive: lol :-) I do agree, though, it's a very scary book on several levels.

@ Aiden: Me either, my friend. Me either.

Good Gods, that's a scary book "Twenty years, it's been twenty years."
Oh, wait, wrong heights.

That video is absolutely awesome. John Green is my hero. Also, my desire to obtain a white terrier has skyrocketed.

Absolutely agreed on every one of them. Except the roller coasters. :)

Most Frightening Places Ever:
*Malls with those short, clear railing things
*hotel stairs (you know, the ones with the huge gaps)
*that freakishly stupid glass bottomed deck at the grand canyon, otherwise know as the fear chamber
*evil, evil ferris wheels, which make me lose it.
*ladders...
*those view things at theme parks, that people take babies onto, but that are more horrific than the other rides combined.
*Elevators with window.
*the freakin cherry picker my science teacher forced me onto. It was wobbly.

On top of a family that loves all of the above things, I have to deal with stupid "better not grow any more!" jokes (I'm nearly 6 feet tall). GRRR! Oddly, I enjoy roller coasters.

The fear of heights is a natural human fear such as that of the fear of the dark that many children have. Most people out grow it, but then again, nerdfighters aren't like most people.

Just to clarify for Gerardo... I understand that you're talking about a subconscious desire, so we wouldn't be likely to recognize it on a conscious level and there's no way to be completely sure that's not the case. But I just can't imagine that even my subconscious mind would contemplate such an act. I could well be wrong, but it's completely inconceivable to me.

honestly, the thought has never even crossed my mind to jump from high up places. the only thing i'm thinking then is 'GET ME THE HECK DOWN FROM HERE!!!' that just sounds terrifying, you know? i'm perfectly content using the stairs and getting great legs from it, thank you very much lol. ^^
