Love this group! I hate that some people feel that they should be ashamed of being a feminist! I'm sorry I think that women deserve equality. The worst thing about this negative view to feminism is the girls who don't hear really about feminism, only the stereotypes, and so distance themselves from it. Sitting in my sixth form common room the other day whilst people were talking about feminism a girl said that she believed men deserved more money than her and she'll be happy to get married and stay home with the kids. That's... fine I guess...  But when asked if she did exactly the same as a man at work and got paid less would she be angry she said no! Despite being exactly the same she believed he was still better because he was a dude. It saddens me that she was't the only one in my common room that thought that.

To Jackie: Well if you have feminine-pride, I don't see why you wouldn't be a feminist. :) And you need some level of feminine-pride to be a feminist... right?

much more effective in my opinion.
