Wow, last activity was 2 years ago! Well, let me bring some life back into this group :D My friend and I going to a training class in September for paranormal investigation. It's being held by TexPart (Texas Paranormal Advanced Research Team) And then we have a ghost walk in my historic downtown. I believe I am sensitive to energies, and that I have had a ghost encounter before, but I am hesitant to decisively call it a ghost. Logical reasoning failed to provide a non-paranormal explanation, so I am inclined to believe it was a ghost. If anyone has any investigation advice for a newbie, that would be great!

Is anyone a fan of Ghost Adventures? Excited for season 10 in October? I AM!

I'm doing my term paper on Ghosts. It is the best thing I've done in quite some time and it makes my term paper fun to work on!

Oh, and I'm psychic, so I have so many ghostly encounters. I don't even know where to start! I think I'll have to sort some of that out before I tell!~

Today one of my favourite authors is blogging at about how she came to write novels on the blog of Long and Short Reviews.

You can also participate in the blog’s weekly CONTEST, if you answer following question correctly and mail the answer to What language is Julia Fellner’s mother tongue?

It’s totally awesome, so I can only advise you to check it out.

Hill House Manor

Several Months ago I was invited to go to Gainesville, TX to stay the night in Hill House Manor. Some of the people I went with have been there before and stated that they did have some experiences. If memory serves me correctly, it was $20/person to stay the night and I think we had to have at least 6 people. The house its self did have an intimidation to it. Part of the house had no electricity and you could tell that it was a pretty old house. Besides from our group there was one guide there that stayed the with us. She did her little tour and told us some stories of some of the experiences other groups have had. In the living room there were some pictures on the wall, who took them I don't know, but I was very unimpressed and a little irritated by the oh so obvious photo shopped pictures that I am assuming was to pass as ghost caught on film. Roll my eyes!! My boyfriend can photo shop better than these people. Maybe that left a bad taste in my mouth for the night...not sure but it was very uneventful.

After the tour we spent some time in the areas of the house that did not have electricity. I busted out the Shack Hack for a bit but really could not decipher anything that could be legit. So we did away with that.

We spend the majority of the night upstairs. There were about 4 of us playing cards and another that was doing EVP work during the card game. There was at one point an EVP that was caught saying one of our group members name. There was a room full of people and someone could have accidentally whispered it.

We continued to roam around a bit....nothing ever happened that night. We all ended up falling asleep. How sad is that? lol

Very early the next morning we were all ready to go home and sleep in our own bed. I left a few things upstairs so I ran up there really quick to get them. One thing that I did mention earlier was that they claim to have had reports of a child ghost and a ghost of a cat. So there were a couple of trays of kitty litter around with toys in them. Per the tour guide, the child will move the toys and you can catch evidence of that with the kitty litter and something there will be a paw print left over from our feline friend waking around. So...I am upstairs and happen to look down at the trays of kitty litter and kid toys and what do I see....a paw print. Just one! I kinda chuckled to my my things and left. For all I know our wonderful tour guide put it there. Didn't even take a picture it...I was that unimpressed.

So unfortunately for Hill House Manor I thought this little ghost hut was a bust and I am out $20.

If you are interested in checking them out I included the only website I could find on the location.

Hi WeasleyNerd... I don't care much for Most Haunted...I prefer Ghost Hunters or Paranormal State. It seems to me that Most Haunted or more staged...there is always something happening!! The other shows that I mentioned will have some episodes where they show other issues (besides ghost) that are the issue. What places have you been too and please let me know if they were any good or not. I really like finding out about places to go where there is a good amount of activity.

I've been on a few ghost walks and hunts and watch a programme called Most Haunted! XDDD Not sure whether that is a good thing or not! xD

Well Aaron, as far as Paranormal stuff...I watch a few of the shows that are on TV and trying to read a few books. I am trying to learn more about the field and all the nifty gadgets that are out there. I really want to do more investigations but it is either a time conflict (with the family or the day job) or can't find anyone to go with me. So maybe through this group I can get more activities started. Non-paranormal stuff(since I was not sure which "stuff" you were referring to) - Texas Hold'em, the occasional cocktails with friends, getting into random stuff around town. It all really depends on how much free time I have. And Yes, I do like to write on occasion(just didn't really have much to write about). I guess that is another reason why I did this group so I can ramble on about this stuff.

Samantha, what kinds of stuff are you into? Also, if you ever have an inclination to write...well, just let me know.
