This is not just for people who went to How It Ends. Getting this bill passed is an opportunity for everyone.
I have found two excellent websites on which you can check the progress of the bill.
Library of Congress
This is the official government run website. It's very nice, you can find a lot of information on any bill you want, and you can be absolutely sure it's accurate.
Open Congress
This website is more interactive. You can create an account and "track" legislation as well as representatives, vote "aye" and "nay," comment and rate. I've only just found it, but I'm already in love (but that might be because I'm a political nerd).
In both websites all you have to do is search S1067 or HR2478 and it brings you straight to all the information you need. I love it!
Following up with your senators and representatives is
just as important as the initial lobbying itself. It keeps the issue on their mind. Also, quantity may be even more important than quality. Write lots of letters/emails! Thank your representatives who've already cosponsored the bill! Encourage those who haven't!
I live one train ride from DC, I'll bloody thank their office in person in your honor if you ask me to.
I'm so excited. Can you tell?
So anyway, on this discussion we can just talk about the progress of the bill, if our personal senators/reps have cosponsored it yet, and any other janx that you feel like.
