Calling all IOWA CITY Nerdfighters! (or people who know Nerdfighters in Iowa City) I'm an undergrad at the University of Iowa and right now I'm in the process of starting a U of I Nerdfighters organization.  I'm writing the constitution now and still need to get it approved by the Center for Student Involvement & Leadership, but it should be an up and running club by the beginning of fall semester. 

So, if you are a student at the U of I, live in Iowa City or in a nearby place, or know anyone who falls in either of the above two qualifications, either go to (or direct that person to go to) the FB page I set up (www.facebook.com/iowanerdfighters/).  Or, if you/they want to contact me directly for more info or ask to join the mailing list, email iowanerdfighters@gmail.com.

SIDENOTE: You do NOT have to be a student at the U of I to join the club, community members are also welcome, as long as at least 51% of members are students (which should never be a problem, so just don't worry about that fact.)

IN ADDITION, if you just live in Iowa and want to hear about possible meet-ups (it's by no means required that you're college-aged or in college to come to a meet-up, if I do end up organizing one or a few), you can also check out the FB or email me and I can start a secondary mailing list for people interested exclusively in meet-ups!  Since those wouldn't be official university events, I could probably try to organize a few this summer, if anyone is interested!

Hey guys. I wrote a limerick about Iowa. It is SOOOO terrible. Wanna hear?

There once was an Iowan girl.

Her name Betty Anne Pearl.

She swatted the flies

and batted her eyes,

Til' she married an ugly old earl.

It's fantastic and makes absouletely no sense. Hope you enjoyed this "Taste of Iowa" with Niamh.

My little sister Eliza was looking over my shoulder at "DFTBA" and says "Dads for the Bra Association." Pretty good, am I right? :D

April!  Awesome!  Nice to meet you.  I've been underwhelmed so far by the lack of nerdfighters in the "City of Literature."  Maybe, like true nerds, they're hiding?
