Nerdfighters

Hey guys!

I can't be the only Nerdfighter here who has read The Mortal Instruments series. What's your favorite book in the series? Who's your favorite character??

Also, I don't know if you've heard but I've heard people talking about how the books are bad and not good for children/teens to read because of supposedly "incest". What do you think about that? Do you think it was really incest with Jace and Clary? I don't really think so.

And for those of you who haven't read it, should! It's a great series. It's YA Fiction about demons and people who fight the demons (called Shadowhunters) who cannot be seen by humans. Also there is romance for the people who like that element, too.

Oh and the prequels, The Clockwork Angel series. What do you think about those? Have you read them yet or do you think it was pointless for a prequel? It's set in the 1800s, I believe. I like them. I think she's going to come out with the same amount of books for the prequel as The Mortal Instruments Series.

Tell me what you think! :D

PS: Recommend any books that I could read??

City of Lost Souls is the most recent book that came out in the series

Magnus or Jace or Alec :) And for TID, Henry, Charlotte, or Will. I;m also starting to like Gideon as well.

Choosing favorites really isn't my strong point.

Same here. I usually don't choose favorites. My fav in TID is Will, though. In TMI my favorites are either Jace or Magnus or Clary or Isabel. I just can't pick a favorite in that series! Honestly, I love Simon but he kind of gets on my nerves a little bit. This might sound stupid, but I just feel like nothing really that interesting that really pulls me in happens to him. It might be because the whole vampire thing is played out a little because of Twilight.

@Helena, no I haven't even heard of Trudi Canavan. Are they good??

Yes, they are :D
she's an australian fantasy author and omg she's amazing!! you should start with the black magician trilogy :) there's a prequel and a sequel as well but that one ist the first that came out... :)

I love Simon too, but sometimes he's a bit annoying. But you could never remove him from the series or anything, if you did it would be the same or nearly as good.

I thought simon was annoying too, in the beginning.. but i really like him in CoFA.

I agree that the series wouldn't be the same without him. I couldn't imagine a better best friend for Clary. They mesh together really well.

And I'll have to check out Trudi Canavan. What is The Black Magician about??

Oh and since y'all liked TMI and TID, I think you both should read The Iron Fey series. It's not as long and the books are shorter but it's GREAT. I read them all in less than a week. I think you both would like them a lot.

I LOVE the Iron Fey books! They're some of my favorites!

Well, it's set on this fictional continent where magicians essentially rule the world, and there are bad magicians nd good magicians ofcourse. there are alsi a lot of different countries that deal with their magicians differently etc... the main character is a girl called sonea who comes from a poor family background. the magicians discover that she has magical powers, etc i think you get the idea... :)

who wrote the iron fey series?

Yes! a fellow Iron Fey lover!! :D Which one was your favorite??

Horray for same taste in books!

I love Meaghan and all, but probably the Iron Knight! The fake growing up growing old thing kind of crushed me though.

That was my ultimate favorite :) Did you know she is coming out with a book that has Ethan as a teenager?? I'm so excited for that. I think it's coming out in September or something... I think next year.

I actually learned that earlier today! Also there are apparently novellas that are coming out as a single book too!
