Samantha, i'd recommend the london eye because that's lovely but only do it on a sunny day (we don't get too many of those but hey )
erm... walks along the canals in Hackney are always quite nice and tou get to see the olympics being built
covent garden is fantastic
steer clear of madame toussauds and the london dungeons *shudders* but in that area burough market is really nice but quite hard to find.
as for not sticking out as a tourist i'd say don't walk around with an open map and try to look confident.

Hello UK nerdfighters! I must confess, I don't live in the UK. I actually live in the US but I was hoping to ask a favor. In about 2 weeks I will be starting my 1st semester of college by studying abroad in London.(!) I'm very excited (and nervous!) and I would love suggestions on what I should experience while in your wonderful city. : )
Also, any suggestions on how to not stick out/look like a tourist. That would be good too. : J Thanks in advance!
