Name: Fredrik

Credentials: Student

Practice: Nothing, I'm working on my research-degree in Bio-Med, so I'm not gonna see a single patient. Goin' for that Nobel-Prize though.

Randomness: The ability to produce lactase as an adult is caused by a mutation in the DNA, that most people in the world don't possess. Not being lactose-intolerant is therefor a mutation, and is found among approximately 80% of Scandinavian people. We're mutants.

Hi, I'm a Physician Assistant now working for Planned Parenthood but my background is pulmonary/long term respiratory/critical care (it was time for a change). Got questions? Hit me up?

Randomness: damn, that thought just floated away....

Name: Megan

Credentials: 2nd year Biology student

What you practice: I wanna be in pediatrics

Random: When you see a mushroom in the forest what you're really seeing is the fruiting body of thousands of hyphae beneath the surface of the ground. (sorry I'm studying for an exam and that was in my notes.)

Name: Trinity

Credentials: Nursing student

Practice: I'm not sure yet, I still have a while to figure that out. I'm thinking ICU, general Pediatrics, or Pediatric Oncology.

Comment by Katie Nothnagel on March 18, 2013 at 8:10pm

Name: Katie
Credentials: BSN, RN
Practice: still looking for a job... interested in pretty much any specialty area, though!
Randomness: A female cat is known as a queen or a molly... And I agree with that, because I have two queens who are constantly fighting for the throne at my house! ;)

Comment by Annabella on March 9, 2013 at 7:19am

Name: Annabel Rojo

Credentials: BSN

Practice: Acute care, basic nursing skills

Randomness: Stigma about mental disorders and discrimination against patients and families prevent people from seeking mental health care. Contrary to expectations, levels of stigma were higher in urban areas and among people with higher levels of education.
