I actually really like that idea. I can always help out with planning, because other than school my schedule is completely free.

Well, if there is interest I would like to try and get this to be a monthly thing. I was part of a Harry Potter group in Atlanta and we did things monthly or more often. It was nice to have it to look forward to. It didn't have to be elaborate or anything but there are so many Nerdy things we could get together and do. Have a monthly book club, discuss music, Doctor Who-a-thons, Harry Potter-a-thons, make videos! There's tons of stuff we just got to get together and see what people are interested in and then our brains can start cooking up events and such. I don't mind helping organize stuff but I am new to the area. I would just hate for us not to be able to get together simply because everyone is hoping someone else will take the first step or because it seems like a lot of work. It doesn't have to be. I'm excited. I've joined the FB group but I'm waiting on approval. I just want to help us all get to get together and have fun doing the things we love with those who love those things too. :)

U of M is fine with me but I am not familiar with the campus, where people can park for cheap or free, or where exactly to meet. Does anyone have good suggestions for those of us that will be driving? If you do we can get this officially set up.

I'm pretty sure I'm free on the 20th! And I like the idea of having it at the U of M. There's lots of stuff around there that we could do, fields to play Quidditch in, paths to walk on and parks to walk through cause it's fall and I love fall.
