What I look at in movies

When I watch a movie, I look at what I consider to be the five most important things that make a movie work. 1: I look at the story and ask myself, does it make since? 2: I look at the actors casted in the film and ask myself, do these actors really work for the parts they have been given? 3: I look at special effects and ask myself are the effects awesome, great but could be better, ok, or really bad. 4: I look at detail and ask myself if all the little stuff make since. I will give two scores based on a one to ten scale. This first score will be my initial reaction to the film. Then I will give what I call a second opinion score. This score will have everything above included.
Remember to not give away plots or details when talking about new releases unless we verify the entire group has seen the movie.

i know shawshank redemption is a so called mainstream move, but i just must put this out here, it was such a fantastic movie, and has the most satisfying ending of any movie i have ever seen.

I agree with Heather Hodges that The Fall is a beautiful film, just a wonderful work of art.

I just watched Xanadu on Netflix. It's #27 on the 50 worst movies ever made . I didn't think it was THAT bad. It wasn't that GOOD either.

Hey guys!

I watched "Winter's Bone" the other day. What a performance by Jennifer Lawrence. I'm looking forward to seeing her come alive as Katniss, although I am a little afraid that we saw too much of what Katniss is going to be like through her "Winter's Bone" character.

Check out "Moon" if you're looking for a great sci-fi film. It's pretty brilliant.
