Nerdfighters

I really wanted to see how much variety we had in the group, so I thought I'd ask you guys what instrument(s) do you play, type of music you play? How would you describe your style of music?

Cello- Classical, Bluegrass, and Fiddle
That's pretty cool! We really like musical experimentation, I always wanted to put a cello in one of our songs.
I play guitar, bass, uke, trumpet and sing. I play folky stuff by myself, when i'm with my other musician friends we do alternative/ plain old rock stuff, mostly just for fun
Upstaged me by one instrument haha, but I could relate, being in a band is one of the most fun things I've done!
WOO! Ukulele ftw!
I play the piano, viola, I sing, and I'm just starting to teach myself the harmonica (with little dedication, I'm sorry to say).
I usually play classics, folksy stuff, holiday jingles during certain times of the year... I'm so interesting.
Music is just a hobby for me, I don't have much of a style.
I play the piano. As for style of music, I play a fair mix. I used to participate in National Auditions, which required me to memorize songs from different periods (one Sonatina, one piece by Bach, one contemporary piece, etc). I love contemporary/modern music though, whether is something like Danny Boy, Debussy, or songs I've heard on the radio (My Immortal By Evanescence, We're So Far Away by Mae, Viva La Vida by Coldplay, and Dark Blue by Jack's Mannequin to name a few). When I was younger I was into ragtime, Alicia Keys, and music from movie-musicals (well Memory from Cats and select songs from Tarzan). I even learned part of Bohemian Rhapsody, but I kind of have to read it as I go, and it takes like 10 minutes to make it through the whole thing. xP
:O auditions...that's fancy. I just play the piano since it's awesome.
I can play Dark Blue on the piano too! Love that song and Jack's Mannequin :)
I sing and play piano... I sing everything from choral pieces to showtunes... and I fantasize about one day performing some kind of rock/pop song.
Same thing with piano, I guess... when I get bored I look up chords online and bang them out and when I really get into a song I try to find the sheet music. I guess that's typical.
I'm not really the best writer but when I make an attempt I suppose the style is... cliched pop with whiny lyrics written by an emotional teenage girl. I'm not sure exactly what style that fits into...
I play tenor sax, piano, guitar, and I sing. Sax is an in-school thing; I do jazz and pit band with it. As for piano, I took a few years and learned the basics. Enough to play a lot of the things I want to.

Outside of school I like to play acoustic stuff, and in school I prefer sing opera (weird, but true)

My style of music is (if it had a label) Acoustic/Pop/Rock :D But I love it and that's what matters!
I play piano, guitar, bagpipes, and Chinese table harp. I'm in love with traditional Scottish and Irish tunes, you know, "Loch Lomand" and "Lanagan's Ball" =) I play all kinds of music, I do classical and comtemporary on the piano. I've just finished learning "Come Sail Away" on the piano and I'm figuring out "Bless the Broken Road". On the guitar I'm good with chords and fingerpicking, I can't really riff or lick yet but I'm close. I've been doing a lot of mellower stuff lately, "House of the Rising Sun", "Puff the Magic Dragon", "Don't Think Twice." I also sing...pretty much everything. I love country and rock, I can rock pretty hard when I want to.
If I had to describe my style of music, it would be a weird cross between rock, pop, folk, and country, if at all possible =)
