Wanna talk plots?

Some people don't want to talk about their plots till they're finished writing. Other people just have to rant about them. Anyone have any plots to rant about?

Mine is about a small town in the Western US full of religious Catholic extremists. They kill people they deem impure because they believe they should have some last and "just" form of punishment on Earth. A journalist from NY joins the group undercover pretending to be looking for religious salvation and meets a girl set to die within a few weeks while she's in prison and he sets about to expose the town's misdeeds before anymore people can die.

The idea just sort of came to me, literally, around midnight on 11/1. Spooky.

I'm not sure where I'm going with it... I know it's going to involve a girl having issues with accepting her sexuality and accepting God at the same time... Don't really like planning ahead, then I get bored with it.

It is about two sister, Lily and Lara. It is told in Lily's point of view. Pretty much, it is about sister's and how you have to hide secrets that you know about each other from your parents and such. And what happens when the hiding backfires and the person that you though you were protecting ends up getting hurt.
Pretty much the sister is a cutter, is getting into drugs, and drinking. Also, Lily really like Lara's boyfriend and something is happening there. So yeah...
She feels like she has it undercontrol and she promised her sister that she wouldn't tell her sister after something happened to Lily, few years back. And it was something that Lily tries to forget, but just can't.
This is how I explained it to my friends. I am 5,000 words in and it is not excaltly like it, but that is what revising is for.

My plot (i hope) will come to me when I need it.

My Maggie is on the verge of finishing high school and heading to College when she finally decides to find out why she has problems keeping her friends close.
The thing with Maggie is she has mutiple personalities but she doesn't show it much during the day, it isn't until Maggie falls asleep and dreams of her other personalities, I'm still not sure if I actually want these personalities to exist, but that could actually be a great idea.... Hmm. See what happens when I write things down?

ANYWAY
Maggie dreams of other personalities with her exact name (I chose a name of what I feel to be quite common) living their lives. At first I think I want Maggie to believe that she's the one dreaming about them and their nothing but a figment of her own imagination. But if I'm going with them actually existing I'd want them to haunt her during the day with small flashes.
I would want her dreams to be like a movie type thing in front of her, I wouldn't want Maggie to be able to move around in that world she dreams, she should be passive and watch.
Yeah... I have a few ideas for other personalities like Princess Maggie (I'd have to invent a kingdom, or just kick the current danish royal family out...) Army Maggie (This is what I'm currently actually writing) and I was thinking I'd do a Murderer Maggie just so it doesn't turn into only a princess or a "For my Country" story...

My current title of it is "Hi Maggie Foster"
Ah, I want school to end so I can come home and write write write!

I always try to sum my plots up with as little as possible, getting them down to the barebones of what they are.

Title: The Mouse and the Garbage Man

Short synopsis: Girl meets boy. Girl and Boy Grow Up. Girl and Boy Grow Apart. Girl and Boy Grow back Together.

Longer Synopsis: Rachel is what her mom calls a "late bloomer", but Stephen doesn't care. Evan is a popular guy who cares only enough to torment Rachel throughout middle school. But when Rachel grows up, begins to get attention, Stephen falls behind, and Evan begins to notice her. Everything changes, roles are reversed, until something tragic happens, that shatters everything they ever believed about themselves.

I have two ideas, not sure which one i'll go with.


Either way, one, is about a guy who has blank spots in his memories travelling to places from his childhood to try and trigger what caused the repressed memories.
He eventually finds out that he used to have a daughter and accidentally killed her through neglect.
The second half of the novel is him coming to terms with what hes done, dealing with the guilt, and seeking redemption.

My other idea is about a guy with extreme agoraphobia (fear of crowds, public places etc) and he locks himself in his home. Somehow a man in a suit gets in, and won't leave. So they have to deal with each other, even though they both hate eachother. Long story short, the guy in the suit is a figment of his imagination, and towards the end the guy in the suit reveals that's he's an angel, and after the confrontation the main character is able to leave his home xD

Haha, I actually really like the second one xD I mean, the angel part is a bit random but it sounds awesome :]

PS. Opinion: Don't make him perfectly alright being outside in one second -.- Just kinda make him try.

Agreed. Both are awesome plots but the second one is just brilliant. It's not easy to pull out that slow transformation in a character but it'll be definitely worth a try!
