I think I heard about NaNoWriMo last year, but I didn't really know what it was, and I didn't look into it. I heard about it again a week, week and a half ago and decided to go for it, so this is my first time! I thought it would be a good way to try to break through writer's block and just give 'er.
Yes, and I'm absolutely terrified. I'm currently at my 4,000something word count and I'm really hoping I can stick with this. I have the feeling that by the end of the second week, I might start feeling like quitting but I'm going to try REALLY hard not to.
This will actually be my fourth year participating. I've been NaNoing since 2006, and it's always been a great challenge because every year my life shifts. My first year, I was still in high school, now I'm a transfer student at a university and living on my own, so life has changed quite a bit, it'll be interesting to see how I fare until these conditions.
This is my first time but I've written novels before (none of them were ever finished). I was reading through some of my old Word documents and I found a list of ideas for novels that I came up with like six or seven years ago. They are pretty good ideas and so I have decided to try to combine them all together and since they have absolutely nothing in common with each other I think that it will be an interesting challenge.
