As a community lets collaborate and make a book. So many nerdfighters are brilliant authors and this would be a great way to both give them a helping hand, some recognition and maybe even raise a little money for charity.

Making a book
We need you to help create and publish a book by nerdfighters. If you are wondering what you can do to help we have a heap of discussions below for you to get involved in. If you want to submit something email it to nerdcollabbook@hotmail.com you will remain with full creative control over anything you submit except that you give us permission to publish it, if we want to do anything else with anything submitted, and this is very important, we will contact you to get your consent first.

Leadership positions:
Head of writers - TheRachel - it is your job to make sure all those aspiring authors know about this
Head of art - Natalie Ochalek - it is your job to make sure there are artists lined up for any artwork we might need
Head of publicity - Eric Farragher - you need to make sure people know about us
Head of logistics - Sarah Lynn - you need to find out what we need to actually do to get a book published, which publishing companies do we contact, which authors?
Head of editors - Tristan Morris-Patrick Lewis - you need to get a team together to sit down with the authors and edit their stuff
Head of awesome - Emily Nerdsome - it is your job to keep everyone excited and fuelled with cookies
Also as a lot of you have been thanking me for coming up with this I want to say the idea was actually thought up by Anna Marie North, so hopefully some of you will drop by her page and thank her because she is pretty awesome.

@emily, what ended up happening was we went through the submissions we had at the time and instead of being able to easily separate them between either in the book or out we had a lot of pieces that we absolutely fell in love with but wanted to wait until they had gone through the first round of editing before we were sure they would go in the book. We are having a heads meeting next weekend so hopefully after that we should be able to start emailing people about what we are doing with what piece, but a warning is that a fair few may end up hovering in the maybe pile neither definitely in or out. I'm really, really sorry if this causes any inconvenience but we are doing the best we can so hopefully we should have everything sorted out soon :)

@Emily, Um, I'm not quite sure, but I don't think we've really excluded any pieces that I know of to be taken out of the book. I think, since we don't have a whole, whole lot of submissions, we're just trying to take as much as we can. The only way it would get cut would be if it was profane (like, porno-profane, lol) or too long or something. Now, like I said, I'm not positive about that, but I haven't heard otherwise, so...

were we suposed to hear back about wheither our work would be included, because i got an e-mail a while back saying you guys received my work, and it said i would hear back in a few weeks to wheither it would be included or not, but i have not heard back at all...

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been around school has been pretty hectic. As Ashley said we can probably slip some pieces in as long as it is a matter of you being able to get it in really soon and being serious about the project (we don't want to be constantly waiting on work that never appears) but yes if you want to go over your piece a few times or finish something off just send us in what you have at the moment at the very least so we know something exists. Also sorry Evealle, again with the not being around much so I haven't been able to check the email, sorry I'll email you now :) DFTBA everyone
