That's the worst discussion title... ever. Please don't judge me too harshly. It's really late and I had one of my "Inspiring Midnight Missions" and decided that I NEEDED to get a penpal and we would chat for years and become best friends and rant and rave like lunatics to each other. Got a bit ahead of myself there, but what can I say?

 

Some information on me would be nice, yes?

 

I'm Loren. I'm a junior in high school. I love reading and music. I fence poorly and play the French Horn (why, God only knows).

 

I watch really bad movies for fun and can recite every line to Casablanca and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I love Vonnegut books and my goal is to read anything I can get my hands on. I listen to Bon Iver and the Frames. And Mumford and Sons! And... well, a lot more and I'll definitely post that on my profile eventually.

 

I was kind of hoping for a penpal (e-pal) that likes longer messages because I tend to write a lot and I love reading about anything.

 

And I will be penpals with anyone! Anyone with interests like mine or the opposite of mine because I think this could be a lot of fun.

Have you seen Project Rant on YouTube?

Casablanca is my favorite movie ever that doesn't have Audrey Hepburn in it and Monty Python is fantastic. My World Civ teacher (who I took for World Civ 1 and now am taking for 2) loves Monty Python and for the entirety of the time we were on the Medieval ages kept making references to it.

Also Vonnegut. Espcially Sirens of Titan and Cat's Cradle and Breakfast of Champions, and just everything. Espcially's don't work for Vonnegut with me.

Also also, (I have this tendancy to overuse the word "also", and to use really long parentheticals.) I loved your title. And you. Is that creepy? It might be creepy. I'm creepy sometimes. Really though, you sound fantastic and I totally would love to be penpals and talk forever.

If you don't mind the occasional perverted joke and words that aren't actually words and run-on sentences.

Hi, I'm Kasey...obviously.  I'm also a junior in high school and I tend to rant when I get really worked up.

I love reading, writing and pretending I know about music.  I'm a big Mumford and Sons fan as well, but I listen to a bunch of other stuff too.  I pretend I can play the piano (which is a complete joke by the way), and I think Vonnegut is awesome.

I like long messages too, mostly because I tend to talk around and around and around the point, which makes everything I write really long.

Hi, I'm Carys (sounds like Paris with a C) and I like stuff.

I'm almost 16. I live in Australia so I'm in year ten, but I do advanced Lit. I'm not sure exactly what the American equivalent of year ten is, but I think it's junior year, correct me if I'm wrong.

I have the Monty Python box-set complete with the Black Knight with detachable arms and legs, pretty cool huh?

I love Harry Potter, Doctor Who ( 9+, not that I don't like the others, I just haven't seen many). I've forgotten the other geeky stuff I watch but I'll remember it later. I also love tv shows, especially Castle.... I LOVE CASTLE. I have seen Casablanca, and I enjoyed it :)

Uum, I like Queen, The Beatles and some old stuff that makes some of my friends think I'm mad. I like internet musicians too, mainly Chameleon Circuit though. I haven't heard much Bon Iver, but I love what I have heard, he's/ they're amazing.

 

If you want to be penpals, I hope you do because you sound cool, my email (I made it when I was 11, weird phase,  sorry :P) is [e-mail] so yeah :) (I always try to use something intelligent to end the conversation , but I can never think of anything!)
