So at the moment this is still mostly just a brain crack idea, but I wanted to get it out there and see if anyone is interested in it before I file it away in the "Yeah that will never happen" drawer. I love the idea of having Nerdfighter Penpals, but for the longest time I have also wanted to learn how to video blog. So I think it would be fun if I could find at least one, possibly more, people to do a video pen pal collaboration that I have dubbed "The PenPal Project."
Essentially it would function in much the same way as the initial Brotherhood 2.0, where we would post videos back and forth to each other on one channel about our lives and things that interest us, as well as asking and answering questions of each other. I think it would be an interesting way of learning about new people and cultures by not only reading about them but by actually seeing and being virtually involved in them.
Ideally I would like at least one or two people (probably max at 5) of around the age of early 20s from different parts of the world or at least different parts of the country to work with. I also think it would be kind of fun if we were all mostly uni students so we can commiserate about studying and discuss how different school is in different places. Once we've decided on who wants to be involved, we can sort out all of the details of scheduling and setting up a proper channel and things like that. So if you're interested, please fill out the little mini questionnaire below and post it in a response to this post.
Note: PLEASE only respond if you are really invested in this idea. This is something I'm very serious in doing, and I want people who aren't going to flake after a few weeks. Thanks!

Uni student?: Yes
I don't care if you have professional equipment or if you'll just be using the webcam on your computer. I just want some interesting people with open minds to talk to about the world and our place in it. And things like Harry Potter and Doctor Who and Nerdfighteria.
Um... I know you said early Twenties, but I'm Nineteen, could I give it a try?

I'd be using a webcam. The idea is actually really cool. I'd love to give it a try. I've been wanting to try vlogging but didn't quite have the courage to do so alone.
Just one thing. I'd be more comfortable deciding whether I would partake in this if I chatted with the participants (You... and anyone else...) over skype (Send me a PM for my skype ID if you would like me to join). I don't want to start doing this just to discover I didn't get along very well with the other members.
Wow so glad to have people actually respond! I was sort of terrified no one would. Also yeah, some chatting before hand would definitely be had. Although that means that I now need to learn how to use skype since I've never used it before... I'm going to get on that now.
And to Amy and Hannah, it's no worry that you're a little younger. Like I said, this is just a brain crack idea, and that age group was just chosen because I thought the idea of having multiple college students would be great. Really I just want people who are willing to engage in some fun conversation with others.
I could totally teach you how to use Skype! ^.^
Although, we'd only be able to do voice chat using that. (You have to pay money in order to have the ability to video call more than two people at a time.) If you're dead set on having video chat with our first chat I could go hunting for an alternative instant messenger.
Helpful hint: If you all get Google+ accounts you can do group video chats (Hangouts) for free on that with up to 10 people.
Okie-dokie! I have a Google+ Account now!
Seriously? That's awesome. I already have a google plus account so that's cool
Well then it looks like that's going to be easy. Feel free and add me on there and we can all start talking. They have group normal chats on there, too, for when we can't video chat.
I now have a google plus account, too!
Um... So are we going to just post links to our google plus accounts... Or something? I'm having difficulty finding you guys on there for some odd reason.
Oh well I just realised none of you will be able to find me because the google+ account I have set up is listed under my pen name... *is a dork* I'll change it to the right name and then post a link
Here's the link to mine:
