Nerdfighter Science Department

As the new forum categorizations conveniently, and arguably correctly, leave science unclassified, I have elected to form a group devoted to discussion of scientific issues.

Physical Evidence and Reasoned Logic FTW!

Science is the great antidote to the poison of enthusiasm and superstition.

Dear Science Nerdfighters!

I have a huge request to you. Maybe you know the worldwide Youtube Spacelab competition. I recently participated in this Science contest and eventually made it through to the semi-finals. Now there's a public voting to determine who's going into the finals. It would be really awesome if you could visit this page: and click on the 'VOTE' button next to my video :)

(You can vote daily until January the 24th)

Thank you very, very much,

Victoria (MsILovePi)

I think you may want it.

Also it doesn't need hydraulics, just a thought as I know that I could pull it off and get help from my friends. In total honesty I'm looking for any ideas to help me (doesn't need to be hydraulics or wiring) :)

We did other projects on hydraulics so I'm not too fussed about that (plus my nerdy friends are really good with hyraulics, it wouldn't be serious hydraulics, basically syringes, which the school has, and water), it's just that I don't know how to start it and what materials would be best for it... I agree, a discussion might be the best thing to do.

@Lily - Sounds like you might want a discussion for that.

What level of school are you in?  Using hydraulics sounds pretty serious for high school.
