I agree completely about not leaving it to the politicians. That's why I never had faith in Obama to change the world. He's one man being controlled from all sides. He may have a good heart, he probably does, but I suppose, he just isn't radical enough. But that might just be me. In my opionion, we need a revolution! ;)

I like the Stephen Fry idea. He is a true nerdfighter that man, even if he doesn't know it... =)

Snozdy. The problem is, politicians who want change will often find it is never as easy as anticipated. Obama probably has a good heart, but in reality, a good heart is not enough to do something, it takes a combination of brains, luck and opportunity.

The problem s, who else is there to change the world? we cant have a republican... they suck, and its got to be an american (im not saying i have anything against the americans, but lets face it, recently, the american government has done nothing but bugger evrything up (this is fom bushes reign). we cant just leav it to the politicians to make the change, the citizens have to do it too.

mean, who would you haverunning for president if anyone could run for it?

(my vote goes for stephen fry)

@Bonkononymous. Losing faith in Obama? I never had it from the start. I never saw his appeal. He may have said some good things. Promised some good things. But in the end it was always obvious that he is too weak to do anything. And what he has done since gaining office proves it. He isn't 'the great hope of America and the world'. He's a puppet among those who don't want the world to change....

@Arielle. What would your definition of a terrorist or terrorism be?
Ter-ror-ism
noun 1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes.
2. the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.
3. a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government.
Would you agree that the Israeli government and army fits into this definition? Aswell as the US government and army? I'm not saying everything Hamas has done is right. But at least they are fighting to be free, for their rights as human beings. Rather than for something written in a book with no proof that it's the truth. Or killing for the sake of oil and power.

And children aren't born as terrorists. Babies don't come out, genetically programmed to kill and harm.

In the words of Borat, the US is leading a war of terror. And Israel is their minion.

Karl has a point. But unfortuantely, not giving the powerful pope recognition has the disadvantage of not letting others know you disagreed with him. Pope is the leader of one of the the largest organized relgions in the world, even if you think he is a complete idiot.

Why do you believe the Pope does not deserve recognition? He's a powerful leader whether he's a malicious idiot or not.

I don't see the reason in your choice to not sign the petition.
