My name is Jenner, but a select few call me Latte. I live in California (in the USA), in Richmond, but I'm moving to Berkeley this summer. I am 14, and am looking for someone between the ages of 14 and 16. I will read almost anything, but Harry Potter will probably always be my favorite series. I love to read and write. I listen to a lot of different kinds of music. I love Doctor Who and Sherlock, as well as How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Heroes (even though it got cancelled), and Psych. I like sci-fi and fantasy. I love to laugh, and I am prone to laugh attacks (I've been told they're incurable). I also have type one diabetes, although it's not relative to this post. Just saying. I'm writing a book, and have started several before this one. I like school, but I'm not a huge fan of homework. I am a horrible artist, but I love to doodle and pretend I can write in block letters. I am a tad strange, but who isn't? I'm part Christian (I like Christmas), part Jewish (I celebrate Hanukah and Passover), but mostly agnostic atheist.

I'm looking for someone slightly to extremely nerdy, who likes Harry Potter and is funny and sweet and likes to have interesting and random conversations. I want someone who can partake in silence without it having to be awkward. I want someone who I can converse with on a higher level than "I'm bored." "Me too." I want someone who will shout random things at high volumes with me. I want someone kind. I want someone who will hang out with me, or me and my friends, or me and their friends. My name is Julianne, but some people call me Jules. :) I live in Arkansas, but hope to move to another state after graduation. I don't mind long distance. I'm 14, and I'd prefer to stay between the ages of 13 and 16 years. I'll read practically anything, but Harry Potter will probably always be my favorite series. As for movies, I'm really into sci-fi, fantasy, all of that... My favorite TV show was Monk, but it got cancelled. Now I'd say it's The Big Bang Theory. I'm looking for someone who can make me laugh, but can be serious when needed. Kia Ora people! I'm Dave, 17, from Staffordsire in teh UK. I'm amateur writer, amateur wargamer, amateur scientist/psychologist, amateur musician (if even that), semi-professional cancer survivor and expert at being unique/random!

I currently like writing a lot, no idea why, I'm writing down a story I've had in my head for a while. I'm also a fan of music like Alice Cooper, Poison, Pink Floyd, Queen, My Chemical Romance, Green Day (and any other suggestions thrown at me). And I get a buzz out of making people laugh, as well.

So... yeah. That's about it for me. I'm just looking for company who can put up with my ways and isn't phased by randomness, and definitely with personality. Oh, and hopefully lives fairly close. XD

Hello there! My name is Katherine (or Kate, whichever you prefer), I'm 17, and I hail from SoCal (if ya don't know, that's Southern California). I've been a Nerdfighter since 2008 but just joined the Ning this month.

My many and varied interests include drawing, creative writing, reading, daydreaming, watching nerdy movies (ie. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, the Jason Bourne trilogy, Napoleon Dynamite, etc.), dancing, singing, bike-riding, playing my ukulele, rock climbing, and sailing. And a lot of other stuff.

I'm interested in a guy in my same age range (15-18) who has multiple interests in common with me, preferably in the artsy, writerly department. I want someone who can converse with me on a level higher than "Hi, I'm bored, what do you wanna do? ... Umm, I dunno, what do YOU wanna do?" I would much rather discuss things like the physics of water and the many paradoxes that pervade our daily lives. I want someone who treats moments of silence and solitude as equal in importance to loud, bubbly social conversations. I want someone who knows how to have actual, real fun -- someone who can make me laugh really hard.

So I realize this has gone on way too long, BUT! If any of the above is applicable to you, don't hesitate to drop me a message...or something. I'm not quite familiar with the ways of the Ning just yet. But I'll figure it out soon enough. :D

What's up? I'm not sure if I'm exactly searching seriously for nerdfighterlike, but this is a good place to meet people other than nerdfighterlike partners, I guess.
So, I apologize if I'm not too serious at the moment.

I'm nineteen, from around Columbus, Indiana, although I'll be moving to Jeffersonville within a year (which is right by Louisville, Kentucky).
I like to read good books, although I'm rather picky, and I get bored easily.
I love the Oxford Comma.
I play video games quite often, the most recent being StarCraft II.
I play guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano/keyboards, and I sing.
I love music. It gets me through each day.
I'm a Lord of the Rings fanatic, as well as Star Wars and Doctor Who.

Honestly, I'd like to find someone interesting to discuss Doctor Who, LotR, Star Wars, video games, books, fun stuff, nerdy stuff, and random stuff with.

Hey guys!

I'm Elise, I'm coming up on 20 soon, and I'm from the Chicago area, though I'm currently going to school in Madison, Wisconsin. I'm sure I've put most of the interesting stuff about me in my profile, but here's a brief snippet about me.

I love, love, love, books. Any genre, any author, from any time period, you can pretty much guarantee I'll at least read it if it's recommended to me. That being said, my favorites are the good ol' 19th century British classics. I also love classic movies and anything to do with Sherlock Holmes. I grew up on a street with a Holmes-related name and I started to read the stories when I was 10. Needless to say, I got hooked and have read all of them, seen most of the movies, and am currently obsessed with BBC's Sherlock. 

I've just come back to this site after a moderate hiatus, so I'm just looking to see who's out there. Anyone who wants to chat me up, feel free! I'm nice, I promise, and I love to meet people and talk and laugh and whatnot.

I'm from Inverness in Scotland and I'm looking for a guy around my age. (14, 15 or even 16) I've never been asked out before so will probably be excessively

I'm a Potterhead, Starkid and I'm obsessed with Harry Potter, Tumblr, The Hunger Games, My Chemical Romance, Green Day, 30 Seconds to Mars, Fleetwood Mac, Paolo Nutini, Kassidy, facebook, violin, piano, guitar, singing, drawing, painting, Kiss, posters and GIGS OF ANY SORT (even if it's an opera as I love those to).
