I love dinosaurs!!!! I had a huge collection of models and toys when I was a kid.
My childhood was slightly ruined, however, when I learned that there is considerable proof that some dinosaurs, such as velociraptors, had feathers...

Rana, I totally agree with LBT. The first one, amazing, others, not so much. Apparently they're on their seventeenth or something. D:

And I love LOVE Jurassic Park, but I'm sad how wrong they got some of the dinos. Mainly the raptors. Velociraptor is NOT that big!

oh my god. i can't believe an i love dinosaurs group actually exists. i "oh my god-ed" so loud when i saw. haha. dinosaurs have been my favorite animals since i was like 4. i was OBSESSED with the jurassic park movies. of course you can't forget about the good ol first land before time. the FIRST one. before they got all sucky and musical like.

Xentarsosaurus = <3 I challenge you to think of another dinosaur beginning with X. (No plesiosaurs, pliosaurs, pterodactylids, mammal-like reptiles, etc)

Way to stay true to the dream, BronzeGolem. I just might attempt it yet- I'll add it to my list of things I want to do/accomplish before I die. My list is getting quite long- I need to get to work!

As for how we got interested... My first dinosaur movie was the Land Before Time when I was about 2 or 3 years old, haha.

I almost strayed many times, but in the end I found that no other feeling could compare to the one you get when your hammer hits the rocks and something pops out that hadn't seen the light of day in thousands of years, even if it's just a sea shell or a sea urchin fossil, you feel like lord carnavon discovering the tomb of Tutankhamon.

The one that did it for me was the cartoon Denver,The Last Dinossaur, plus sea shell and oyster fossils are so common around here I could easily found them in most of the schools I went to, so I spent many a happy recess digging for fossils.
