Comment by Laura Elizabeth Campbell on September 10, 2012 at 10:15pm Just had the first round of auditions for my senior show... Now to the hard part- actually casting the damn thing! Well, after callbacks.
Comment by Reese A. on September 10, 2012 at 10:03pm I'm really scared about tomarrow because they are posting the cast list for the musical we are doing at my school, and I think i may have done well.
Fingers crossed.
Comment by Danno on September 5, 2012 at 12:36am there are arguments to be made for and against physicality and movement in regular audition, but Laura's right for the song portion, focus on singing well and getting what you're feeling (even nervousness when it's right) accross in the lyrics and the music.
Comment by Laura Elizabeth Campbell on September 3, 2012 at 8:30pm @Alexandra: Don't "mime" it. Live it. What does that line mean to you? What, in that moment, in that line, is the character feeling, expressing? What is the one thing that they felt so strongly that they had to express it, and not only express it, but express it in song?
