Hello to all my fellow Cascadians! I moved up from Springfield, Missouri to Spokane, Washington in 2001. Spokane was actually supposed to be a stop-over on my way to somewhere along the coast.

I've know for a long time that I wanted to move to around the coast somewhere, and finally got a chance to in 2001. Except, Spokane became an 11-year stop-over! :-P

I didn't really know where near the coast I wanted to be, and candidates included Seattle, Portland, Vancouver (BC), Victoria (BC), and even Sitka.

Then, not long after I moved up here, I took a trip to Portland, Oregon and the spirit and vibe of that colorful city soaked into my skin and talked dirty to my heart, and my goal ever since has been to move there.

Aaaaand, I'm still working on it, lol! I have a lot of irons in the fire, as they say, but I will get there. My goal is to do so by the end of Summer 2013--literally, no later than the last day of summer (Sept 20, or whatever it is this year).

My best friend (who I met here in Spokane, and who I'm trying to recruit to the ranks of Nerdfighteria) moved there at the end of last year, and is kicking it with some really awesome people. Makes me a wee jealous though! ;-)

I hope to meet many NFs there, and have a lot of adventures in and around Portlandia. I'm stoked to be part of your group, and looking forward to hanging out with you all!
